What strange thing do you do? (that most don't)

Now be honest...

What strange things do you do? Like eating the food off your plate in a certain order, unusual rituals like if you step on a crack with your right foot, you step on one with your left to make it even, etc... I'll start.

I Don't Wear Shoes!

I've been going barefoot for about the last year and a half, just about everywhere. even in winter! The weather here is mild enough here, although sometimes there's "sprinkler ice" on the sidewalk in the morning when I walk the dogs, no matter. I have to wear safety shoes at work, but I change in to flip flops when I leave (dress code doesn't allow bare feet) and kick them off as soon as I get in the Jeep. I have literally gone a solid week barefoot. My Mom was celebrating her 90th birthday, and my brother invited the extended family to his beach house in Florida for the event. I got off work that day, kicked off my flip flops, and never put them back on. That included flying from LAS, layover in ATL, on to ECP and back. I go to grocery stores, restaurants (including the nicer ones), Lowes, etc... and have only been stopped twice. Once in a gun store (he was an AH, literally yelling and screaming instead of "Sir, you need shoes in here" kinda thing) and once in Walmart (she was nice and asked politely so I complied).

What's yours?

I try to say what I mean, and mean what I say. I used to think that was pretty common, but I'm having doubts lately...

The cheese on the cheeseburger can't be on the same side as the mayo... Break that rule and planets collide.

I eat my meals one food at a time. If I have a plate of chicken, rice and green beans I eat all my rice then all my green beans then all the chicken

Ms Blueridge does the same. :P

I probably do a lot of things people find odd, but I don't... so I wouldn't really know. These are probably a bit unusual:

I read the U.S. Constitution at least annually.
I don't wear socks, or underwear, unless it is snowing (or bitterly cold, <20 or so).
I always wear a hat (or visor) when outside.
Like the good Chief, I always make sure a burger is built specifically - (bottom to top) bun, ketchup, meat, onion, lettuce, tomato, mayo, bun. Bacon may be added above the lettuce, but is not required.
I usually have just a baquette of bread for lunch, which my brother finds crazy.
I put pb on both sides of a pb & jelly sammich, and eat Sorghum Syrup & Peanut Butter sammiches (which are delicious).
I don't drink beer because I don't like hops. I drink cider instead.
I don't like cheese, so I do not eat it, except on pizza. And only on pizza.
I dip bananas into chocolate milk.
I wear river shoes or no shoes 10 months a year.
Oh, and I cut my own hair.

I pretty regularly touch individual teeth with my tongue and when I do I have to touch the same amount on each side of my mouth. I am not really OCD about anything else except that. Weird.

If I am drinking from a paper cup (fountain drink) I always need the seam to be on the backside so my fingers are touching it. Oh and no lid, I prefer tasting, touching the ice cubes.
If one shoe becomes loose or untide, I need to re-tie both so they have the same pressure on my feet. I hate one snug sneaker and one loose one.

me too!! lol. it has to be at my house or a relatives house. I was scarred for life in 5th grade camp by someone looking under the stalls while i was doing my thing and asking me "what you doin?"

also...when i'm driving the jeep, i pretend its one of my old turbo'd cars and i scream by replicating the exhaust/ blow off valve sound especially when i'm merging onto the freeway.

I can drink a case of Budweiser in one day, and I still will be standing. If you think that is easy, well then, just try it some time............

I absolutely hate cheese, but only things like grilled cheese, or cheese on a burger. I love pizza and cheeze-its though

Even in conversation? Awkward...... Hope you're well, sir.

I honk my horn when I start my Jeep at home. We have barn cats, and it is a fear that goes back to my truck drivin days when another driver skinned one starting his truck.

Well I'm OCD about several things. Most of them I have to do before I can go to bed. I have to go downstairs and check to be sure the basement refrigerator door is closed. I have to check my wallet to be sure all my licenses and credit cards are in it, then put it in a box with my keys and knife. Then check it again. and usually again. I have to check the upstairs refrigerator door to be sure it's closed. I have to look out the window at my Jeep to be sure no lights are on. Other things are...I wash all parts of my body in the shower in the same order every time, and dry off the same way every time. I check my back pocket to be sure my wallet is still there many times a day. I get so stressed about tests and re-qualifications that I can hardly function for a week or two before I take them. If I have to do some training on the computer for work, I have to do it asap even if I have weeks or months to get it done.

That's all I can think of for now. Damn I'm effed up eh?

Oh wait...I have to eat cereal and have a glass of chocolate milk every night before bed

Just the opposite. Eat in order around the plate. Bit of chicken, then rice, then beans. It has to come out even. At the end there will be one bit of each to finish.

I thought I was the only one on the planet that does this. I was starting from the top of the thread and said I'd post this when I was done!
Oh, and I am referring to the coffee cup / drink seam.

This is a fantastic thread!!
I'm so glad I'm not the only nut around these parts.

I am another one of those weirdos who eats all of one thing then all of the next on the plate. I don't mind if they touch, though. I also eat sandwiches/burgers/etc in a circle. so the middle is the last bite.

When I go to the gas station, I have to stop the pump on a nice round number, usually by 5's - 25/30/35/ etc.

when I check my phone for messages, texts, email, etc - I always do it in a certain order even if I have pending notifications on one or more other apps.

When I about about to go to sleep I have to turn my pillow over three times before I find the right spot (weird, I know) and I have to start the night with socks on - and always wake up without socks. I also like one leg under covers and one not covered and I loooove heavy quilts and or feather comforters.
