Calcutta Pompanos. Look and feel like Costas but only cost ~$25. I can't justify buying expensive glasses and having them stolen/broken/lost.

For all of you Oakley guys (me being one of them) the new Revo Harness's are definitely worth a look. They are relatively cheap at under $175 and the lens quality is a couple steps up from Oakleys. I'm a sunglass whore and I haven't worn anything but these since I got them. Definitely worth a comparison.

If you're a shooter, they are really nice on the range or even in a shoot-house in lower light.

Here is a link to them for a quick look.

Some brand that I bought from Walgreens for around $11. They look pretty good for the price. Plus, I don't have to worry about misplacing them or damaging them. I'd go and buy another pair for $11 if that happened.

It's sort of like the watch thing. I bought my $60 Casio for function and not for some name that no one can see unless they have their nose 12" away from my wrist. Its atomic clock signal sync function makes it the most accurate watch I've ever owned.

I don't think that's an official Oakley store, so I'm guessing the sunglasses aren't authentic either.

Buyer beware.

Oakley TwoFace lately, but I have Oakley Gascans, and square wires... so I'd say Oakleys. Lol. The only time I wear anything else is mountain biking and they are Smith optics Pivlocks.

My brother used to work for a factory that made lenses and got glasses on the low, so I have a number of different shades. I have a pair of Oakley two face, flak jacket with transition lenses, and gas cans. I also have a pair of nikes, spy's, and a pair of prada's. As far as lens quality goes the prada's are the nicest (plus classiest) but there also real glass and about twice as much as the others. If your not sure if you want to pay for oakleys take a look at spys. I cant tell a difference between the lenses in my spys and Oakleys personally and the spys were quiet a bit cheaper. The lenses are made in the same factory for the two btw.

Oakley really is all I really wear. I found they work the best. What a lot of people I see do is they'll get their pair of Oakleys and get a pair cheap glasses (cycle gear, if your town has one) will always have $5-$6 glasses you can use as throw aways that are polarized.

Cheapo brands for me, as I do well to go an entire year without losing a pair. Got some Peppers wraparounds at the moment that I think were only like $25.

Just wanted to reply to this thread and add that I recently purchased a pair of Costa's. Of all my high end sunglasses the lenses in the costas are the best. I got the 580 glass lenses. The clear view and awesome polarization does come with a price (money) as well as weight. The glass lenses are noticibly heavier than any of my other fishing glasses. But I can say that with the exception of Prada (also glass lenses). These lenses are much better than my Oakley's, spy's, or Nike's.

Sadly I don't wear sunglasses because I can't find a pair small enough for my abnormally small head, so they all look ridiculous

I try expensive shades before but i loose them all the time. I now get cheaper one. Idk if this store is everywhere but here in canada we have mark's work warehouse and they sell sunglasses.

I get a pair of polarized one that i dont see any difference between those and more expensive one and they are 30$

Look good and are good except they scratch easily.

Costas are great, so are Kaenon. I've owned Smith, Oakley, Revo, Costas, Kaenon, Native, (and I'm sure others), but I've been leaning towards Kaenon for the past year. The Costa 580 glass lense is hard to beat. The Kaenon SR-91 is the only polycarbonate lense I've seen that comes close.

I went cheap forever too, but you'll be amazed at the difference between those $15 gas station shades and any of the brands mentioned here. You take care of your Jeep, why would glasses be any different?

Oh, and do NOT take any ones you like on a float trip!

Yep... I have two pair, going on three. Lenses are very high quality. Spring loaded stems make these last a very long time. I've gone through 3-4 Oakleys to one pair of Maui Jim Sting Rays.

Pay me now, pay me later.
