I just got a pair of Carhart safety glasses with Amber lens for $9.99 not a bad look and good clarity.

Whatever you get, go polarized. On that note I go to the walmart fishing section and get what looks good. Never an issue and if I loose them I don't get mad.

I've had a pair of Oakley Flak Jackets for the last 4 or 5 years. Same frame is still holding up well. I have replaced the lenses once, and I do need some new rubber nose cushions, and ear cushions.

I put these glasses through hell and back at work. Well worth the money.

It's clearly a thread for people to discuss what sunglasses they like or dislike.

So what's your favorite?

Costa, persol, and Maui are the best. Oakley by far most overrated. Most the companies owned by Luxottica are overpriced for the quality. Now if you're getting a discount then that's different. I had 3 pair of Oakley and was happy until I tried Costa. Took few days to adjust, going from wire frames to the thicker plastic. But Costa quality definitely noticeable in comparison.
I also find out take better care of things that cost more. Maybe just me.

I'll add that my subjective opinion. I can't tell you how to spend your money or what's best for your eyes.

X2 on the cheap gas station glasses. I am getting kind of snobbish lately, I can't find too many I like at Wal-Mart so I had to upgrade to the gas station brands.

Got a pair of fake Oakley style sunglasses my eye doctor included with my LASIK. I leave them in the Jeep in case I forget my sunglasses at home. I have some other Rayban and Oakleys I've bought on the cheap off Craigslist and eBay I wear most of the time and never leave them out in my vehicles. Honestly, the fake Oakley's work just fine and fit pretty well, though they do scratch pretty easily.

Costa Howlers, hands down for me. I have very light green eyes, bright sunlight is really painful; the Costas have excellent clarity, cut glare beautifully, and protect my pretty green eyes.

Because it is not likely that I will lose, misplace or step on (& break) my jeep.

As for me, I'm always losing my sunglasses, or stepping on them. I like for my sunglasses to cover my eyes completely. That way, no sun comes in, even when the sun is to the left or right of me.

So, since I'm a cheap bastard, I went down to the local dollar store (even though it is called a 'dollar' store, the glasses still cost me $6) and picked up these.

They wrap around my eyes completely, and if I do end up breaking them or losing them, hey, I'm only out $6.

Funny thing is, I've had this pair for about 3 months now.
It seems that there is a correlation between "damaged" or "lost" sunglasses & the price of the sunglasses.

The more the glasses cost, the more likely you are to break them or lose them.

Or, maybe it's just that, when you have 'cheap' sunglasses, you just don't worry about it as much, because you didn't have to take out a loan for the 'high dollar' sunglasses.

If she is still under the warranty, trade her in, and get a newer model.

Yep.
Newer model, with less "wear & tear".
