You have also had about 10 concussions since then as well...correct?? And I am not trying to make light of the subject matter at hand.

It pains me to admit I don't remember anymore. I guess I'm one of the few who doesn't, but I've lost lots of memories over these past years.

Yeah, I have. Funny thing about memories is you never know they're gone until you start looking for them and when you can't find them it's a reminder that you're not the same. I'm disturbed that I can't remember that day, it's unsettling. I feel a little isolated because of it actually.

I was working on the rooftop a/c units in Stamford CT when the towers got hit. After the towers fell, we just sat on the roof over looking the LI Sound watching the smoke. It was weird seeing no planes in the sky other then a few black helicopters and them f-loud jets around. We were up in the same spot today just overlooking where the towers were thinking about that day.

At the time I lived in Baltimore and was home sick. I sat and watched TV starting before the 2nd plane hit also. Both my parents worked for the Defense Department in Washington D.C. (not the Pentagon building) and I just wanted them to get out of that building, had me a nervouse wreck. The strangest thing was I went to the Grocery store for medicine around 4pm and they had the news broadcasting over the speaker system. You could hear a pin drop in there it was so quiet in that store.

I was walking my dog as part of my back surgery therapy when a neighbor yelled out the front door to me that a plane crashed into the WTC. I got home as quick as I could and didn't leave the TV all day.

Never forget.

I've tried to write this 3 times and got choked up and had to stop and start over all 3 times.

Our daughter had just finished eating breakfast and was drawing a picture of our dogs. Our 5 month old son was in my arms having his breakfast and I was thinking about what we'd do for the girl's 4th birthday in 3 days. A friend called and asked if I had the TV on, did I know what was going on. I turned the TV on and, at the same time, our buddy was filling me in. I woke Skeeter up and was so shocked about what was happening, I hung up on our friend. When we tried to call him back, the lines were all busy. We spent the rest of the day watching, in shock, only leaving the TV to see to the kids' needs.

Today, I lowered our flag to half mast as my now 7 year old son skipped off down the street, heading to school, happy and innocent. I couldn't help tearing up at the thought of all of the children who lost some of their innocence along with the parents that never came home.
