well, in a very, very short version of the story but with all the need to know info

it was repoed under conditions that i had no control over from the beginning. i had been making all my payments, on time, never missed one, but my step dad, who we thought co-signed, but they actually made him the main buyer, he had to claim bankruptcy close to a year ago, but since they put him down as main buyer, even tho i was making all the payments, chrysler still decided they wanted to take my jeep...

but now ive gotta get to work so ill talk to you all later

No problem bro. There are lots of Jeeps for sale out there. I'm sure you'll find one somewhere that you can make your own.

yea...the pres from my jeep club told me about a great deal on an 87 YJ laredo for 1300 bucks but i have to pay off some lawyers right now b4 i can get another jeep...im figuring in a few months is when ill start saving up and looking for another jeep

i went up to the upper Peninsula of michigan last weeken to see my dad, he lives up there on white fish point, and while he was at work, he told me i could drive his jeep on the trails up there...so that helped out....hes got a 1987 YJ that he bought brand new in 86...has almost 280k on the same unrebuilt 4.2l..im at work now, but when i get home, ill post pics of that little outing

that was the problem...it wasnt even like i, personally, did anything wrong...i always made my payments in full on time, never missed one...but the damn dealer made my step dad the main buyer behind our backs just so i could get the jeep i guess..and we never knew that, so when my parents filed for bankruptcy, they affirmed the loan they had on their Lexus, but the lawyers told them not to worry about my jeep bc it was in my name and he was just the co-signer...but then 7 months or so later, chrysler calls and want their jeep back...so that was 2 years of my payments of 520 bucks a month, thrown down the draine..

i would have LOVED to keep that jeep, but i still owed 22,300 on it...i even tried to refinance it thru other banks, but bc of the delema it was in, no one would go thru with it...i do miss the jeep like crazy tho

Wook, good to hear from you again. Yours was one of those screen names I've always remembered.

Suck about your ride bro. I'm sure that as soon as you can you'll have another one.

thanx JP ..yea, i guess i do have a pretty unforgettable name on the forums..lol

and yes, i am defintely going to have a jeep as soon as i can...what i REALLY want, and have always wanted since i started driving jeeps, is an 88-91 sahara YJ. i say those years, bc those were the only years for that olive drab and matching wheels...i love those jeeps...if i can find one of those, when im ready to buy another, i wont hesitate...id love the 91 even more bc thats the first year for the 4.0 in the wranglers, but i could do with the 4.2 also

the real kicker with this, i had FINALLY decided to spend the 500 on a brand new tabor winch, and hadnt even gotten it on the jeep yet, and thats when it was taken...so the winch is sitting in my garage, waiting for its next rig
