Where did your screen name come from?

What inspired your screen name? Some of them are pretty obvious, but others are a total mystery...

For me, it was when I got back into Jeeping a while back and came home with a used YJ with a 6" or so lift on 35" tires. It was a real rock crawler and I had it when I joined the forum.

My daughter took one look at it an said "Wow Daddy, that's a real beast"

Well, it was my Science Teacher, Mr. Ceide, who called me Johnnymotocros first because I used to take my dirt bikes to school and He`ll let me park mine next to his Classroom, and when I got to Class too late, when he heard the noisy 2-stroker he would say " Here comes Johnnymotocros " to my fellow students already in class.

Mine is a nickname given to me by a co-worker. He started calling me Big Dog and it stuck. It's always hard to get the screen name Big Dog on just about any forum so I added my old baseball/softball number, thus BigDog21.

While talking to a friend

Him"quick name a rodent!"
Me"uh Lemur?!?!?
Him"ok thanks"
Didn't realized how dumb I was to say that since its a prosimian(I'm doing a minor in anthropology) and should have known that, ever since then my friends make fun of me and gave me the nickname lemur, the JV is my first and last initial.

My name is a combination of what my son use to call the wife and myself 23 years ago. He just married a wonderful woman and I hope when they have children they will call us Mody and Domy. Forgot to add I'm 57 and just retired and on Nov.6 we will be full time camping in our Motor Home pulling our 12 JK behind it. Don't feel bad 2004 lj I'm 57 so your not even close to being the old man.

Many many years ago a young lady told me that she was saving herself for that "special one". I told her I 1 2 B DA 1. We've been married almost 43 years now, so I guess I was. But mostly I use it because it's easy for me to remember, is nondescript, and I have yet to find it already taken on a forum.

Mine is my name in Chinese. My family moved to Beijing when I was in high school and I went back for a bit in college.

Mostly I use it because Emily-related usernames are always taken!

Mine came from helping a friend build a convertible 64 chevy corvair in high school. Some one said something about it being an iron coffin death trap (f-ing Nader) and it got twisted around to iron grave because thats what we would be buried in the car when it crashed. The name just kinda stuck. As for the car its still running and driving safe at any speed.

I was born in the European country of Turdia and I was in the 2004 Olympics in the 100 Meter Hurdles.

Just kidding, I work as a plumber and a friend gave me the name as a joke and it stuck.

Jeff
