which vehicle?

So in a little over a year i'm going to be heading to college. My dad made my bro, my sis, and me the same offer; if we go to the local community college for 2 years we get up to a $20,000 car...i'm not sure what i want to do for college and i may be taking this route...anyways i've been thinking about the vehicle i would purchase...these are them(feel free to suggest others...:

-Dodge ram (2500) with the Cummins Diesel
-2005 and up Mustang
-Wrangler (preferably a TJ--no YJ's; i already have one in the family)

so any advice or anything of the sort...or experience with any of the other vehicles other than the jeep?

Given the forum, I bet this will be the common answer.

thinkin of gettin rid of the jeep so i can do everything i want to do to my car now and not over a period of 10 years..

nah jk.. a rubi tj for sure.. great starter 4x4.. a stock rubi can go where ever my lifted jeep can (no lockers).. not only the fact you can ride topless and doorless..

but i sure do love havin a hemi charger =D

Community college is a great way to save money. Do yourself a favor and get a hardtop if you get a Jeep, otherwise it will get broken into in the first semester garanteed. College parking lots are tough on softops when confronted with a dirtbag and a knife who knows college kids have laptops, books and stuff that is easy to sell. Good luck.

PORSCHE 944 WITH PARTS! 07 OR 06 MUSTANG GT OR AN 05 GT500
PORSCHE 911 MAZDA RX8 MITSUBISHI 3000GT IDK ANY OLDER SUPERCAR 20GS WILL MAKE YOU A TRACK STREET CAR! something fun to drive to school, good on gas, reliable and as a bonus you wont feel embarrased to drive the honeys around.

buy a cheap jeep to build, if your gonna wheel it, it won't be reliable and besides once you crack the first wrench you won't stop till your got 42's lockers and enough lights to light a small town!

...however, if you're a fan of big smoky burnouts go with the Mustang.

i have a 2500 cummins. its awesome. if you're planning on BOMBing it, you better get another job. you can make them make insane power, but its not cheap.

and why no love for the yjs?

the jeep would be the better college vehicle IMO. although, id get the soft top.

I'd say that since you've got a year and a half to decide..........decide then, not now. It'll change a dozen times between now and then, so why torment yourself. And if you can't behave in a flippin' ASTRO, how are you going to behave in a Mustang?

True... but trucks just don't have much sex appeal. Mustangs on the other hand... something to be said about an American Icon.
