Whitehouse desecrates the constitution and 2nd amendment

The Constitution | The White House

Scroll down to the 2nd amendment. This is what it says on the web site:

"The Second Amendment gives citizens the right to bear arms."

The other amendments seem to be intact, but this one is stripped.

This is what it should read:

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

The 2nd amendment doesn't give people the right to bear arms. The 2nd amendment states that the right to bear arms shall not be infringed. BIG DIFFERENCE.

Well none of the Amendments are written as they are in the Bill of Rights. It's more like a breakdown in simple words. I'd say it's a pretty accurate description...being that it is a right that gives citizens the right to bear arms and not meant only for organized militias like some a**hats would like to argue.

Just my thoughts. It really doesnt matter how the 2nd amendment is worded because its not the right to bear arms thats being changed its the types of arms you can have. At the pace the White House is going, this time next year the only legal gun will be a 4 shot pellet gun.

Unfortunately, there are a good number of people in this country who are not capable of reading and comprehending The Bill of Rights as it was written. It is necessary to "dumb down" what was written so that people today can understand it. And even then, as you can see, there is still confusion and misunderstanding.
I would also like to mention as a former US Marine and owner of many weapons that WILL be on the banned list, I fully understand that those that I have now (or can acquire before a ban is made into law) will not be affected by the ban. They are MINE and can legally remain mine.
I think most people also confuse the fact that Ms. Feinstein really has a very small chance of getting this passed. Regardless of the fact that there are ALOT of people who would like to see all weapons made illegal, The gun lobby has MONEY... and ALOT of it. And they like to spread it around. Is it right that MONEY can play such a large role in the law making of this country? Maybe not. But in this case, it will work to our advantage.
I always kinda laugh when people fear the actions of "The White House"... The White House (and its occupants) really are not capable of doing very much. Its the morons in Congress that we need to be afraid of.

Youre completly right about congress. The House and Senate are the ones that get it started, but the man in charge still signs off on it. But whats really funny is how 536 people vote on whats best for us.
