Canadian Maples for me. They have face value of $5 on 1 ounce. Compared to US 1 ounce Eagles that only put $1 face value. It's kinda a minimum value to be $5, but the value of the silver is more that will go up. Canadian Maples for me.

I buy American eagles. The face value printed on the face is irrelevant.

When the zombie apocalypse comes that silver will be worthless. Invest in ammo and reloading supplies

I buy U.S.Liberty dollars. It's a good hedge against inflation and a weak dollar. Don't expect to make money overnight but in the long run, silver is a pretty good way to go for an investor that can't afford gold. If you look at the trends, silver follows gold in price fluctuations. I bought a bunch of liberties in 2006 for 11.41 each. I think I did pretty good.

Proofs

Special Editions

Bullion

Reverse Proof Maples

Even some with rainbow toning

Some paper money

I'm into coins, so I buy them mostly for the numismatic value. I have a bunch of Maple Leafs which have appreciated quite a bit, due to smaller mintages. I was surprised to see one year going for $80 on Ebay! I haven't bought much silver in 10yrs, everything I bought was when silver was around $9-10/oz. I think the Walking Liberty's are the most beautiful coin ever minted... only have 1. Will buy more someday, but I have other pressing matters.
