Who enjoys car shopping?

I used to love car shopping. I am on my 9th (soon to be 10th) vehicle. I never minded heading to the dealer to test drive/sit in cars, thought it was a blast. Now I can barely get off the couch to go look at cars/Jeeps. It is such a hassle, dealing with salesmen/test drives etc. I know I should be ecstatic to get a new JK (maybe because I have to pay for it myself? ) but am not. I just want to find the model I want, add it to my cart, and have it shipped to my door. I wish Amazon sold cars.

I love car shopping. It's the only type of shopping I do enjoy. If a friend asks me to help them shop for cars, I jump at the change. My main victim is Marc G. at Lithia Dodge Jeep in Santa Fe. I've bought 5 vehicles from him and have assisted in 8 other sales to friends.

My first Jeep was a Grand Cherokee Overland that I bought from Marc. It took me a month to beat him down to an acceptable price. I'd stop by every time I was in SF and walk over to the Jeep and wait for Marc to circle in and ambush me. "Still sitting here Marc. I bet the floor plan is just eating the sales manager up." We'd play this game every time I was there. Fun stuff. $42,000 Jeep for $31,500.

The last time I brought a friend there, the sales manager nailed me and told me that he has to make at least $600 on the deal and he gave the guy his last price first. Took all the fun outta it for me. My friend was ecstatic with the deal he received. he had been shopping all over the state for a pick up and we walk in cold and all deals were $4 - $5K over the price he paid. He spent another $2K on accessories and everyone was happy. I got a free lunch out of the deal at a pretty good steak house.

I love it. I have been driving for 16 years now and have had over 30 cars and trucks. I hate salesmen, but I'm pretty sure they hate me too
Favorite quote, Thanks GoldenSahara00 "not many people do it. most of the guys who do do it, don't sit on the computer and talk/write about it, they do it then go wheel"
