Jump Gate Evolution is a space flight game tho which has me excited. I was the same way about Freelancer. It was amazing and really got me into the genre of game. to bad there aren't many more in the genre these days... I dont know of any after Freelancer.

my step dad is a Captain in Special Forces 7th group and is incharge of his whole company at fort bragg and he plays all the time. Before Special Forces he was a Ranger. Many people like him and many other SF guys play WoW. So I still don't see were your getting your stereotypes from there big guy.

Its nice but a bit laggy even if you reduce the graphics.. i will play it again in few minutes. Last night i downloaded a patch that i will install now and try it again.. its suppose to fix some lag bug issues they say. I would say for 5 bucks and 38 cents, dude its worth every penny.

Its similar to free lancer but i dont think you can get another ship but you have all sorts of other upgrades.

i answered to your statement.....

Lets clear the air....a CPT isnt in charge of anything. NCO's run the show. an O-3 is a minion to what his LTC or COL's vision is.
If your step dad is worth his weight he would admit that without NCO's he cant get his OER and leaf. In the SF world....no one per se is in charge. thats the beauty of being a group guy...FYI...Now, was he in a Ranger Battalion? then he would be a Ranger...if not then he would just be Ranger qualified....(have the tab).

After all that jibberish,

i said ALL THE PEOPLE I KNOW IN THE MILITARY etc...

so in your warped little level 50 gnome cleric mind am i stereotyping when i have said thats all i know.....

well as i said that game freezes up like no tomorrow. The problem is it does not have mip mapping or whatever you call it. Basically when you turn to an area with lots of rocks (no matter how far away) it loads them all so it laggs.

In response to a couple of posts: There is NO reason for personal attacks. Jesus, it's a game. Some like it, some don't. But to say that because someone likes and plays it they're worth less is a strawman argument.

I've never played it but I've seen the South Park World of Warcraft episode like 100 times. Its one of the best ones.

Eric Cartman: "Guys! When things look bad you can't just give up on the World... of Warcraft... "

other memorable quotes from that episode...

I'm into beta testing new games and should be beta testing the new stargate MMO that is coming out soon hopefully.

Iv played Wow for a few years now current avatar is a 70 mage on the horde side. My current guild is 4/5 Hyjal and 5/9 Black Temple.
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...rhorn&n=Levina

My main pre-bc was a 60 shadowpriest on alliance but I don't play him very often anymore.
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...rhorn&n=Theras

Some people gamble or golf I beta test and play Online games.

BTW I thought Private WoW servers are illegal?

The last response I have to this little back and forth I have is. Instead of all the hate you are putting forth, you should embrace your fellow WF and Jeep owning commerads, go out play in your wrangler during the day, relax
in the evening with some irsh car bombs or what ever your drink of choice is and make some love to your significant other or self or what ever your into, and just relax, be happy and feel the love man. You had said all the people you knew who played the game were a certain way. I just responded non-confrontationally with some examples you haven't been in contant with. No need to attack anyone or put down anyone. I thought WF was a gathering of friends with a common interest, not a flame contest.

As far as the Dark Star One game goes, i have it running on the lowest setting and it does not lag at all.

Differences from free lancer.. basically you are stuck with one ship that you upgrade. On freelancer you could land on the planets, on this one you cant. Also on free lancer the planets were much smaller and felt closer together, while on this the planets are massive and the distances between them are huge. The way systems are made on this game are pretty much you have one or two planets that are so far away they seem like a background, lots of rocks and debris. The graphics have blurriness to them especially when you speed up time sort of like the nitrous effect in the need for speed games or i think it was the pill effect in grand theft auto. The game does not have cruize engines, it has booster for few seconds but otherwise thats it, you're stuck with pretty slow speed (you can speed up time but everything else is also speeded up so). As i said the systems are made pretty small so unlike on freelancer where you browse through many many planets, explosive gasses, rocks, mines, radiation, glowing gasses, etc all on one large system, here you have many small systems with one or two planets, maybe a sun and one landing station that looks like a large space ship/satelite orbiting the planet. You also have a big rock with some tunels dug into it sort of like the station on chagunko system on freelancer.. i think it was the blood dragons home base or something... This is interesting game however Freelancer is by far better (just needs longer story line).

Basically freelancer makes you want to keep playing it because its so free, on this one, you dont have much freedom so once you beat it.. that will be about it.

Hey Levi what horde server do you play?

ygohome, i agree that is one of the best south park episodes. Way to many hillarious one liners to quote them all. "Live to WIN!"

That unfortunate to hear. I was hoping it would have been at least just as good as Freelancer. From what I saw on www.gamespot.com there is no multiplayer for the game which for me is also a big downer. I'll still at least download the demo and check it out for my self. Did you get it used? I couldn't find it on gamestop's or bestbuy's website to see if they had any in stock around me. I agree with Freelancers storyline needing to be longer, but Freelancer is still an awsome game. Another big astroid with a base built into it was Mactan i believe it was the Lane Hackers base.

Nope i got it new for 5 bucks.. i gues no one buys space games so thats why they lowered the prices.. It had like 4-5 stickers on the box one on top of the other one
Nope, not even close to free lancer
If you DO call them make sure you tell them its for a computer.
