Anyone? I saw Smeghead has a WoW link in his sig. I've been playing about 1 1/2 years.

Blah, WOW is garbage I am just playing, but I have time based level games. No time, for me anyway, and no patience, to build a character by playing forever.

I have been playing Ultima Online, as well as a few first person shooters, since 1997. Usually I play mostly in winter, when there isn't much to do.

well i mainly play FPSs but WoW is fun because its more casual/social and less time consuming. Everyone from college students to parents to grandparents play and it. I mean there are 12 million active users world wide and im sure that includes a decent amount of jeepers.

now thats just a rediculas thing to do. many college serority girls and frat guys, service men and women, fathers, mothers, children, and people in europe asia and every other country on the planet play world of warcraft. It has over 12 million active users worldwide from all walks of life. With that information i find it hard to fit all those different people in to two sub cultures.

I actually got payed for playing DOOM2 when that was that hottest game around way back when.
I played online on a BBS and the guy did trade shows around the country. he would pay me to go to them and sit across from people (2 pcs hooked up) and they would have to try to beat me to win a prize. I had to kill them 30 times they had to kill me 10 times.
I also won several prizes in Doom2 competitions from vendor booths.
What a geek eh? I was da bomb at that game tho

I love counter strike and all unreal tournaments (gotta get the newest one). The game play of that game if perfect.. all controls are precise instead of the crappy animation controls other games have. An example would be the older medal of honor or call of duty or whatever they were (have not played the new ones for that reason). Those games were very very crappy. Its not all precise, the walking has animation.. left.. right left right.. etc. Well once you stop moving you gotta wait for the animation to stop so your character can stop... etc. It was just very laggy feel and no my computer was way above the minimum and also the recomended settings so its not my pc lagging. Even at minimum graphics it still felt the same way. This is why i like CS and UT. You let go of the walking button and it stops. Thats it.

One of my favs is Free Lancer. Its not a person shooter game, its a space shooting game (ships and stuff in space.. planets, galaxies.. etc).

The graphics in that thing are so amazing. There are NO menus in the entire game (besides settings and stuff like that). To go to planets, you have to fly there, to do missions, you have to land on the planets and go to the bar and talk to the people for missions, its very similar to grand theft auto but with ships in space.
If any one else knows games like this (outer space flying) that are new, please let me know (pm me).

(he is using a custom made ship not originally in the game..)

I was excited by EVE online's newest graphics, but then after asking a buddy who played it about it i was disappointed. Its not space flight its like an RTS when you just point and click to move your ship around and its really slow gameplay, espcialy the combat.
