Wish me luck

Headed out today for the trip to Minnesota, about 1200 miles one way in the jeep with 33" mud tires and a soft top. I have all the faith in the jeep, but i think my ear drums are going to need recovery time

I do the NY-FL trip twice a year and love it (actually I'm driving to Miami next week). Just set the gauge on your air vent system so that air comes from the outside (not recycl.) even if you have the a/c on. This way the soft top bubbles up from within and doesn't flap a lot (windows closed of course). With the music a bit loud you won't even notice you're in a Jeep. Have fun!

I go between Texas and SC a few time a year, always more fun in the jeep. Where are you at in Texas? My home town is Amarillo but all of my family is in the DFW area and most of my friends are around Austin. Ever heard of Kevin Fowler? One of my best buds.
Have a good trip.

Have a safe, fun trip. You can get cheap, foam earplugs at sporting goods stores. Maybe that would help if the other suggestions don't.

No, I think it freezes up in the winter.

tiny I told you that I would never be found.

Trip was fine, I forgot about how the prairie wind loves to sling Jeeps around like puppets. Throwout bearing started chattering around Oklahoma city, and we hit a blizzard as we approached Minnesota. So in all uneventfull, lol.
DFW to MN via South Dakota is a pretty cool trip, if i can find a job here I might even stay longer.

Glad to hear your trip has gone well.
I took a trip from Washington to southern Arizona. That was a great trip. Going through Navada, around Elko and south, was really beautiful.
