Wraith Owners

Hey guys,

So I am contemplating buying an Axial Wraith. I am just looking for some insight or experience with them. I am also looking for reasons I should/should not buy one. They are kinda pricey so I am kind of hesistant

I would rather spend money like that on my jeep or my family personally... they do look hella fun though. I have too many other hobbies already that require money.

Consider how much enjoyment you will get for how long, is it really personally rewarding, and is there somewhere else the money would be better spent.

I've got a wraith, its fun but it breaks more often than my jeep does but its much cheaper to fix. In stock form its really not all that impressive, just like a jeep it needs mods to see its full potential. Good toy for breaks out on the trail though.

I was kind of thinking this would be one of the places it would get used a lot...or back at camp with a few beers.

That is unfortunate about the breaking though I did notice though that most of the parts were pretty cheap. There were a few things though I was like "seriously!? that is like half the cost of the car itself"

So far I think the most expensive part a had to replace was about $20 for the upgraded aftermarket stuff. I actually got mine for entertainment at camp.

I had a hard time swallowing that pill as well but its an awesome little rig and has been a blast so far. Its amazing how similar they are to a true rig...not only in looks but design as well.

Digging up an old thread.
Just curious if you still have your Wraith. After years, yes years, of waiting and putting it off I finally bought one. Should be here tomorrow, along with a 5000mah Lipo battery. I bought the poison spider jeep edition. All the same wraith parts , just different body, tires, and wheels.

I'm going to TRY and keep it mostly stock for now. Hahaha I'm fed.

I have a scx10 that i got for my birthday and the only reason i haven't modded the crap out of it is because i keep buying stuff for my real jeep. Great entertainment on the trail when we stop. Its fun to build a track for it while we are waiting on a trail or sitting around at camp. Its also nice to be able to play with a jeep in the house and in my room.

My buddy has a JKU and I'm trying to get him to buy the SCX10.

Heres a pic of my Wraith, with The Undertaker at the wheel. I just did some simple mods last night. I cut off the front fenders, lowered the ride height by flipping the shock mounts upside down, and I moved the ESC to the back so I could get the battery up front for better crawling traction.

ESC mounted in the back after battery and battery tray removal.

Battery up front
