I'd hit up Wyo-Tech or UTI, then open my own shop after I got the rest of the money.

And Jepper, you might work a lot of hours, but you also spend a lot of hours messing around on this board when you are on call and not getting calls also. Some of us know for sure

You never know where my job is going to take me. Yesterday I drove 300 miles for a one minute job. Today I drove 1 mile for another quickie job.

I have my laptop all the time, so I am on the road alot when I'm on the forum. I really have a great job, but it consists of way too many hours and really puts a damper on anything I would want or need to do.

We're both gigolo's. Not the cheap one's either. I hate those 300 mile drives too.

Sincerely,

You are all missing the point. Aunt Penelope has a ton of money so why work unless you have too. I like Amy's idea. Photography and Archeology have always interested me but I would add in Wildlife biology (unfinished business) and World history so I know about the places I would travel too.

Ranger School. Not sure if I would make it or not. have lots of buddies, who where ranger's, seal's, snipers. Perhaps if the budget cuts in the 90's had not cancelled the ROTC program at my college things would have been different.

You guys all have way too much time on your weekends.

Of course I only have a computer at work, I don't have one at home.

I put in an average of 57 hours a week at my job, so I have no respect for anyone saying they work a lot of hours.

There's just too many good things out there to do that it is hard to decide on any one thing to do to school for.

I would love to be a National Park Ranger. Is there schooling needed for that ? I'm sure there is.

I have a background in woodworking, if there's schooling for that, that would be good.

If there's any kind of school for fishing, with Aunt Penelope's money, I'M THERE !! Any kind exept for fly fishing.

Farming. If I didn't have to worry about earning enough money to make a living, I'd love to be a farmer. Probably fruit orchard, possibly dry farming crops also. Whatever, I'd love to be a farmer, maybe even a rancher. Livestock, is there school for raising and managing livestock?

To pick one?......hmmmmm.........

Ive done a little of both, nothing relieves a day of stress like taking a piece of hot steel and beating the piss out of it until it looks like something

heres is a couple of knives and a slingshot i made while deployed in Iraq. yes folks this is your tax dollars at work

first one i made out of a piece of 3/8 armor plate.

second one was made out of a file. was supposed to be a tanto blade. came out more like a big kitchen knife

and the bird killer. hours of entertainment for soldiers and marines posted on OPs

i got the knives home, but the slingshot was confiscated by customs in Kuwait

Then here come the horses with a big arse stable and invite all my horsen buds to wear it out!!!

NO more employment. Somebody else could use my job......

Been probably 15 years since I heard anything about it, but the Appalacian Center for Crafts (I think that's the correct name) near Smithville, TN offered blacksmithing classes, and I was told one of the instructors is a master bladesmith.
