Not sure how many from the springs are coming, might be just you and me. We could meet somewhere along the west side, where are you located?

Im in.
I talked to the Boulder Ranger station this morning. They told me there is about 5 inches of snow up there. We'll have to check it out. I'm with Ed ......not ready for another Jenny Creek.

Five inches would be an average, maybe less on the trails maybe more. What we hit at Jenny Creek was a serious snowdrift. The other thing is if the snow has been holding up there there's probably going to be ice. Wish we could get a report from someone who's been up there lately.

The thing is Joey that we got in trouble because we ended up on ice. Here we would be starting on ice. If you want to have a winching party go for it. But I would suggest that no one without a winch attempts this run.

I'm still going to go to check it out. At least on these trails we have to climb to get in and not to get out.

To me climbing on ice is, by definition, a winching party, which is fine if you have a winch. Mine is laying in pieces at the moment so I have to take myself out.

I think I will post a run for slaughterhouse gulch, see if anyone is interested in going.

There wasn't much snow on the trail when I ran it on Sunday, you'll be fine on that one.

Well, my best to all of you, it should be interesting. BTW, Chad, I seriously doubt that is has been or will be in the 50's at 9000 feet. It doesn't work that way.

Well, driving for three hours just to probably end up in trouble on ice just doesn't sound like a very good time. Plus anyone not having a winch in circumstances like that puts a serious strain on the whole group. Jenny Creek was a point in fact.

I hate to see your heart broken over this, after all we've been through together

You could do the Slaughterhouse run if you really wanted to
