Well if they don't you're welcome to ride shotgun with me. And if you promise not to break anything we'll split driving on the trail. As I've said you are one of very few people I would let mess with my stuff

That works! I'll probably end up just sleeping in the bed of the truck with the topper on... Less hassle than setting up/breaking down a tent.... I really enjoy overnight runs too.... breaks up the driving a bit... (granted BV is pretty close to me..)

I assume the pic is of the left side of the rock pile. Would be interesting but I will need a bit more armor in place before I even consider it

Chad, Is it graded enough to drag the truck/trailer down to where you're talking about on 4 mile?

March 30th. It is 2 weeks from this weekend.

Four mile is an area on the east side of Buena Vista. The place Chad is talking about is off Hwy 285 on a county road. It is relatively close to the meeting place in Johnson's Village. Weather can be any thing this time of year with lows averaging in the 30s. Daytime highs in the 40s or so. If the sun is out and nicenit can be 60.

Actually talking about an FSR that connects with the 4 mile recreation area. Seems like it was 286 or something like that. Access is prior to BV as you are coming down the hill towards town on 285.

Are you talking about that access that hairpins in right at the top of the hill? There are a couple other access points further down the hill but a truck and trailer would have a tough time with those. Not even sure if they're open this time of the year.

Yeah I camped there last year and the people we were with got full size rear pulls in there without any trouble. and yes almost halfway from the top to the bottom on the right. I think it will be ok and if not there's always the trail head.. I talked to my buddy and he said it was FSR305. The road wasn't too bad. we had my truck and a small utility trailer with an ATV. But it was in June. Absolutely a great view of Mt Princeton from camp. Really hoping that it.s open.

Chad, your spot looks close to where I camped for Jeeptober 2012. Definitely some of the best camping in the BV area.

I'm waiting to see if a friend from NY is coming out this weekend before committing but if I can make it I'll be camping in this area as well with a big ol bonfire.

Let me know if you're going John! we can caravan from Breck..... I know my house is a long way from yours (500 ft)... but I'm sure we can work it out

If I can get one additional jeep to join and there isn't too much snow on the trail, , I might run Carnage the afternoon before or after Chinaman if it isn't too late, at least up to the waterfall..
