A New Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputy!

I just got called and offered a job with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department . I started the hiring process over 5 months ago with 787 others, only 20 of us were hired. I am so glad it is over and with this outcome. I start the Academy 28 Jan 13.

With a baby due 8 March and just been going to school full time since I got out of the Army a year ago, that call relieved so much stress.

Great day for me!

Thanks everyone. I'm really excited to become a Deputy. Law Enforcement has always seemed like the only job for me after serving 12 years Active Duty Army. I'm glad I could make it happen.

Awesome news! A few of my Marine friends did the same thing after they got out and they've never looked back. Now get some flashers on the top of that jeep! hahaha

Congrats Jason! Sounds like a pretty exhaustive selection process, as they say: "The creme always rises to the top".
