Anyone in the Colorado Springs...

I just bought a new to me jeep and would like to take it out with some people. I don't like the idea of going alone. I have a 2000 TJ with 6 inches of lift and 35's. I also have a winch. I am located in Colorado Springs and would like to stay in the area. I am off of work until the end of the month so I am wide open during the week but the next two weekends are already planned for. So if you are down to go out during the week just hit me up.

Konaman,
Congratulations on your new Jeep! Sounds like you got a pretty nice set up. I've got a 1997 TJ with a 4" and 37's; I'm always looking to go wheelin', however; right now I'm waiting on axle shafts for my front Dana 44 I just put in. There for I'm down and out for a week or two.
I work at "The Faricy Boys" and we have a few Jeep events set up. The next trip is our "Rock Solid Trail Day" for July 16th at RAM Off-Road Park from 9am-4pm. Then we have the second "Rock Solid Trail Day" planned for Medano Pass down near the Sand Dunes for Saturday, August 6th here is a link if you want to sign up to come The Faricy Boys | New Chrysler, Jeep dealership in Colorado Springs, CO 80923 I know they are both on Saturdays but I though maybe with a little notice you could get somemore time off to come out and join us.
It's a great way get out there and meet other guys from the Colorado Springs area and set up some wheeling trips. We try to make a wheeling trip atleast once a month with some guys from the shop and customers. Here is another link to some pictures and videos of previous trips we've made. The Faricy Boys | New Chrysler, Jeep dealership in Colorado Springs, CO 80923
If I end up getting the TJ done here sooner I'll let you know and we'll have to try to go run something together and test out the new front axle set up.
Happy Wheelin!

thats my favorite trail man. if you dont know where your going tho you will get lost. iv done it many of times. infact iv never found the correct way to the top of baldy.
baldy runs half ray through bull park i know that much for sure after seeing bull park and going down the trail there is a fork in the road. i went to the left. it took me down the rest of bull park. im guessing the other way will take you to the top of baldy i could be wrong though.
theres another trail that isnt posted on traildamage that is off road the main road you use to get to bull park that is quiet the fun trial with small rock obsticles and has some great secenery. you should check it out.
i wish i could go with you but im stuck in denver for till august or so. someone that might want to go is Owen_tj thats who i went with last time.
have fun man and post some pics when your back

Hey I'm here in the Springs, stationed at Fort Carson, living near Airport Road, and I usually roll out to Rainbow Falls or Rule Ridge. If you want to wheel it up on Friday let me know, my unit has a training holiday and I am off (WHOO HOO!)

If you're running Mt. Baldy and want something more difficult, you won't be far from Eagle Rock and/or Saran Wrap. Those are great trails with some nice challenges. They should be in your guide book as well.

We did Eagle Rock/Saran Wrap last Sunday, also the top part of Mt Baldy and back through Frosty Park. Great trails and more challenging then the lower part of Mt. Baldy.

I know Eagle Rock and Saran Wrap really well. Sorry for the long response time... PT in the morning and work all day. Captain Jacks is also up there but I did that one in 2WD last week. Whatever we chose it will be fun. I'm bringing one of my NCOs with a stock 03 TJ so we have to do simple(r) trails. I'm running a 4.5 inch lift with 35s and just installed my new winch (I hope to test it out... on my sgt). Let me know the meet up place and time. Normally we meet at Home Depot on Southgate/Lake and roll out quick from there.

Ok, I will talk to my buddy and see what time we are planning on meeting up, but home depot should be fine.
