Well, compared to some of the retribution I've heard bantered about up here, throwing them in a fire is pretty mild... Those I've talked to want something much, much slower...

I start leave on the 12th and will be on leave until September. I'll probably stick around until then. I'm in until my next son arrives. July 25th is the due date.

My grandpa said we need to nail his nuts to a table put a dry grass hut above him and give him a knife. He can either burn to death. Or cut off his d*ck and bleed to death

I'm in for the run. Love driving the park and know a lot of people that lost their world in the fire down south. I have family that were part of the Flying W for many years.

As for the arsonists, I'd rather the vigilantes catch em. Costs a lot less tax money in the long run...

I'm sure you'd be saying that if some a**hole started lighting random fires next to your hometown.

Another note.. Don't know if we could all set up an auction or something to that affect to raise money for the victims by offering four wheel drive trips or adventures.. Just thinking..

Jeep seats for the fire victims. Take them on a fun trail.. One that will make them laugh with nervousness and grab the oh shhhh handle.

So here is where it stands at the moment.

Thanks for the out pour of support on the Idea. I quickly realized that I didn't know enough people to fill the Jeeps.

So my Wife and I are in the process of contacting church's that are in that area. We're looking to work with youth groups as we think that teens will likely gain the most enjoyment from the experience. The Church Disclaimer: It's very important to note that this will not be any kind of out reach. This is simply for what I stated in the first post. Churches lend themselves as being a natural drawing point for this type of thing.

I'm still very insistent that we focus on people who had losses in the fire. However it is inevitable that we will have a mixture of people who had losses, people who were evacuated, and people who may not have been evacuated. So at this point we're more in 'people gathering' mode. So the biggest way we could use your help is by finding people interested in going on a trip on a Sunday.

As for the idea's I've seen about a raffle type of thing that we could offer for fun/free... Unfortunately, that is going to be unlikely to happen. We live in America, The land of the free, the beautiful, and the sue happy. I've already started looking into having a release form that would absolve the driver of the Jeep to not be liable if anything does happen while out on the trail. I haven't looked to deeply into the liability and legality issues of a give away. If you can come up with a decent plan on how to execute this idea I'd be more willing to back it.

The form is easy and simple.. Had to create one for a haunted house. Just has to be in depth and detailed.. Anyone under 18 has to be accompanied by a parent.. It's an easy liability waiver and im sure we can find a decent lawyer to read it over. From experience most people get out when it gets technical. If there under say 15 or 18 they have to wear a helmet or the parents can sign off not to have them wear one. Got to have disclaimers about riding on a trail and side affects they could get.
