Anything Sunday the 14th of July?

We had to cancel our weekend trip, but Sunday is still open to us. Anyone doing any runs or want me to plan one?

We are still pretty much a newbies as well, so worries there. Our two month old '12 JKU is the wife's daily driver, so we are not looking to break or damage anything. We'll also have our 3 year old son and 9 year old daughter with us.

Some of the trials that are my list to do are:

Balanced Rock Road 3-4, El Paso county

Bull Park 4-4, Teller county

Slaughterhouse Gulch 3-5, Park county

Barbour Fork 4-4, Clear Creek county

Any of them would be fine with us. Or if you have one in mind, post it up.

When are you heading up? Wheeler is my backyard and I need some redemption after shredding my tire on it 2 weeks ago.

I'll be heading up Friday after work...hopefully I'll be up there by 7pm but it all depends on if I can bail from work early.

That does look like a fun one! Who, when, where and what time are you guys meeting? Reading the other thread, sounds like winching might be required to get past the snow bank?? I don't have mine installed (bumper is not here yet), so that might be an issue. I also don't know if I'll have CO2 setup by Sunday, will anyone in the group have extra air available?

All these things us newbies have to think about

I just might be able to join. I have to work Sunday morning but should be getting off early enough to hit the trails. It's my anniversary on Monday and my wife wants to celebrate by hitting the trails (God, I'm blessed! I thought I'd have to dress up and do the whole dinner and flowers thing! I guess it's going to be mud, dirt, beer, and beef jerky). I just did Jenny's Creek off Rollins Pass and that was fun, I would love to go again since I ran out of time and had to turn back. If I can get off early enough I'm up for anything as long as my rig can handle it; I'm still a rookie here, too.

Lucky Man!!!
I think it would probably be a 10 AM meet-up. Haven't ran it since we had to winch up the exit last year due to snow/ice.......
How far did you get last time?

I turned around about 20 mins past the first water crossing. Time was running short and the other guy I hooked up with on the trail had to leave and I didn't want to go further alone since I'm still rolling on the stock Goodyear tires.

I don't think I can make it that early. I can always shoot up there and try to find the group when I'm done. If it ends up that I can't find you; I'll at least get a nice trail ride.

The folks on this forum have been awesome. All my questions have immediately been answered. It's so nice to have this huge support system. I'm learning so much from everyone and I'd like to meet all of you and say thanks.

One last question and I'll shut up. Does anyone know if Caribou pass is opened yet?
