Personally I don't have a problem splitting up, I just want to get out on a trail with a group that includes a few experienced drivers so I can learn. Again never been on a run before but 18 does seem like a lot.

Just my $0.02.
x2 - I'm in regardless - all together or split up just want to go with experienced jeepers to learn the ropes. Corey / Cballou I'll be at Safeway at 8:30am. Don't have a CB buy would be happy to PM and exchange phone #'s. Let me know.

Actually check your spare tire...
If this is a requirement I'm out LOL. I still don't have a spare, been rolling like that since last June with no issues. I have Opencountry's though & am aware of the fact I don't have a spare. So I wheel accordingly.

Toyos are bulletproof. No need to haul around the extra weight. Lol

I've seen krawlers, KM2's, and MTRs all bite the dust this year in person. No one I know with Toyos has complaints...

Thats been my stance on it as well so far LOL. Plus I don't know what direction I'm going with my rig now so don't want to spend a few hundred dollars on a spare 35 if I just end up going with 37's or selling this & getting a newer Unlimited.

Eh, to be honest with a group... as long as someone else has a spare tire the same size, I dont see the problem. Hell even a can of fix a flat and someone with an airpump would work to limp down a trail. I personally have the "never leave a man (or woman) behind" mentality and if it came down to it would take that person and their flat down the trail to get a quick fix and back up and get them rolling. No need to exclude anyone for any reason other than ass-hattery.

Rainbow falls is an entire network of trails that kind of loop in and out and for the most part lead back to the same place either back to the main parking lot, 67, or to rampart range rd. Depending on which turns you take. So large groups shouldn't be too much of an issue. If it becomes a problem people cant just split up and branch off in smaller groups if needed. I would just recommend everyone bring a trail book, map, or some sort of GPS so you know where you're going and how to get there. depending on which way you go there's a few obstacles, and few areas you should take it slow. Other than that the trails are fairly easygoing with a couple bumpy spots. I've Done this trail with close to this size group before and barring any breakdowns or running into similar size groups it shouldn't be too bad. Just my thoughts though!

As of now my buddy and I will still be at Safeway at 8:30am coming from Arvada/Denver.

We'll all end up splitting up throughout the day. With a group this big I can easily see small groups breaking off to either go faster or slower.

So for us mountain folk who don't live near either of the meeting spots, what time should we plan on being at the trailhead? Not for sure if my friend will be going too, but I am still in as of now.

Its about 45 minutes to an hour I believe to the trail head so I'd say 11:00 ish

There has been talk about these areas being closed for a couple weeks. If all else fails and its closed when we get there we can find other trails. I'd suggest china wall. It is suitable for stock jeeps.
