Buying new Rubi

Looking to pick up a new Unlimited Rubi before the end of the year. Just moved to the Denver/Boulder area so not sure where the good dealers are and who to stay away from. Any advice?

Also, heading back to OK for the holidays so thought about just trying to pick one up in Oklahoma since they aren't as popular back that way. Any merit to that or should I just pick one up locally?

I've got one you can buy....you'll just need to grab a motor to go with it...

If you are a tread lightly member you pay 1% below invoice regardless so location doesnt really factor much.

I'd buy where you'll get service.

GO in Golden just put a new clutch in mine 60 days after I bought it because I had some throwout bearing noise... I'm pretty happy with them right now.

For every good story from ANY dealer though, you'll hear a bad one I'm sure.

Been trying to look into this. I guess the main question is can we not negotiate more than 1%? I may just not know everything about this and been a few years since I bought a new car. Invoice is sticker price and we are taking 1% off that right?

Get a decent deal? Buying experience decent? They were on my list to take a look at for sure.

Invoice is what the dealer pays for it, not sticker

Check out Pollard in Boulder, they normally have a good selection.

I've bought my last 2 JK's there, no hastle. Ask for Adair!

Ahh I see. This makes a lot more sense. Essentially we don't know what the invoice on a vehicle is really but we assume, especially on a Jeep, that they wouldn't negotiate below that right?

Yeah Pollard does have a good selection and they are the closest dealer to me. Talked to the internet sales guy and he has been ok. Was talking about coming in to take a look at a few with him but maybe I should talk to Adair? Second person that has recommended him to me now. Is he just the best guy they have there and easy to work with?

Thanks for all the help guys!!!! Can't wait to officially join the Jeep community. Been a long time coming and finally live in a location I can actually use it for something other than mudding...

Go to hmbrown.com Get a fleet price and no haggling necessary. Ask for Paul Griffith.

If the internet guy you were talking to was Gabe, he is actually the guy I bought my Rubicon from. Adair is the guy that has given me outstanding customer service every time I have been in (both for warranty work and for the many mods I have had done). I talked to Adair this morning and he is up in the mountains for a long weekend but will be back Monday.

Both Gabe and Adair are great to work with but Adair is tops when it comes to customer service. He is the guy I would go to IMHO.

Tread lightly program is between tread lightly and jeep, not the dealer. Jeep actually reimburses the dealer the lost 1% if you go on the jk board on this site look for Patrick@fieldsjeep. He has helped a ton of wrangler forum guys get the best pricing and special orders. That is who I got my jeep from. I got the 1% below invoice and an additional 1% below. I paid 2% below dealer invoice for my jeep.

Adair knows all his stock and is a no BS guy. He'll be able to tell you right away if he has or is getting what you want.

I've bought both my JK's from him and specifically asked for him when I was looking to trade my '10 for a '12.

Don't bother looking at the Jeep dealership in Longmont!

So does he do out of state business? Not sure how that works since he is IL but I see he does business in a variety of states. I assume since you are CO based you bought and he shipped it here? Guessing that removes tradein's from the mix but might be fine with that. (I know I could get more for my tradein's by selling them locally. The main tradein is a 2 wheel drive truck with some damage so the value is not much here locally anyways)

I lived in NC when I ordered mine. I drove to Chicago to trade in and all that jazz. But I am originally from Chicago so I made a trip out of it. Contact him, he is a wealth of info on the sales side.

Yeah I sent him a email to see what he could do for me. Can't hurt to check my options. Driving up to IL from here might be tough timing around the holidays. Probably could figure it out though.

Set something up with Adair to go take a look Monday when he gets back in town.
Was thinking about going out to GO in Golden as a comparison as well.

I got my 13 JKU rubi for about 2.5-3% below invoice. I think there was a little more in it too. I had a good, no hassle experience from Go on S. Broadway. PM me for more info if you want.
