DIRECTIONS TO TRAILHEAD...
From Colorado Springs: Approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour driving time. Head west on US Highway 24 through Woodland Park, Divide, Florissant & Lake George. On the west end of Lake George, take a right hand turn off on CR-77 following this approximately 10 miles. If you drive through the town of Tarryall (a small cluster of houses on a bend in the road, a good indicator you are there is there is a small, old time, white school house/church on the east side of the road) you have gone too far. The actual trail turn off is about a 1/2 mile before the town on the east side of CR-77. Turn here and you will follow up the road to the trail head.
From Denver: Approximately 1.5 hours to 2 hours driving time. Head west on C-470 to the US Highway 285 Turn off. Take the US-285 turn off and this will direct you southwest through several towns including Conifer. Turn left off onto CR-77 and head southeast past Tarryall Resivoir and further through the town of Tarryall. Turn left off on the first dirt road after the cattle guard (cattle guard is in a paved road) and follow this up to the trail head.

China Wall (Colorado) Coordinates: 39.113719° -105.463731° Coordinates: 39.113719° -105.463731°
FOLLOW THESE JUST (BACKWARDS) .

Take Hwy 9? To 24 then AFTER Tarryall look for CR77

Yea, it was a great time! Who would have guessed it was Faricy Boys Jeep day and they would have 43 jeeps

Did you notice the Faricy employees taking stills and video of China wall? I heard they are going to run the plates and use this as evidence to deny warrenty coverage.

It's the rock pile. Completely optional

I was wondering which inconsiderate jeep club put this run together and caused a massive traffic jam in the woods and ruined everyone else's day who was not part of the group. With that many jeeps your really should be more aware of others that use these trails and provide a means for others to get by in a timely manner. Instead everyone else has to wait on the trail for hours, like we were in downtown rush hour traffic.

I really felt sorry for the two guys in the UTV who were just trying to get to the river and do a little fishing. The person who organized and ran this run should be ashamed.

I had fun guys. It was an early morning and a lot of driving and gas for me but the trail was fun. Each time this Rubi impresses me with the stuff I can make it through carefully being stock.

Also I know there were a couple DSLR's out there taking some pics so hopefully those are coming soon.

We had 7 Jeeps in our group, maybe 8. We were as surprised as others when we saw the group of 40+ but that was not our run and we were not associated with that. I don't think anyone here would be interested in running just about ANY trail with that many Jeeps.

I am certainly glad to hear that it was not the folks at Wrangler Forum. Please accept my apology and sorry for derailing the thread.

It was such a disappointment to see how poorly run groups like that one truly give the rest of us a bad reputation.

5 minutes of looking at this actual thread would have told you that it was not a WF group. I'd advise looking at that prior to making a lengthy rant post. Damn that send button!!! It gets everyone.

So are you implying this group was us? Because all it took was a single question for us to figure who the 43 jeeps were REALLY with...

Well, 40+ Jeeps all running at the same time. A lot of them so new they still have temp tags. The fact that they took off 45-60 minutes before we even started the trail AND we were able to catch up to them... then we (and other trail users) had to wait for them. What do you think??

I have no problem with Fairicy taking their customers out. I do have a problem with them being inconsiderate to the rest of the trail users. There are plenty of beginner trails in the area that Fairicy could have devided the group up into smaller groups.

Just saw your mom this morning before I headed out to Texas. Tell her I didn't win from the scratcher I found. Request weekends off Chris.

I can say I know where ALL THREE entrances are now.... and I literally ran up an extra 35-40 miles on the odometer exploring the roads on either side of the trailhead you guys selected ... but at least we gave them a head start and didnt catch up as quickly!

Here are the quick snapshots I took while out on the trail. I'm having a problem getting them all to show up as flickr seems to have changed their menus and I don't have time to try and work it out at the moment
