8:30? I'm old Army, we need to be in our fighting positions defending our positions by sunrise.

Probably should put my winch back on if there's gonna be snow...
Man, you did a really fine job on that link If you need a spare I've got some laying around. On my hp30 I made new lower mounts out of 3/16 with bolt on skids. Looking at that I'm thinking that maybe I should have used 3/8

Haha thanks. I think 3/16 will do, the skids should slide most rocks outta the way. Why bolt on instead of welded on ? Just curious, I've never though about bolting them on...I'm building a 44 front soon, just getting adjustable CA's all around before I start putting money into it. I have a replacement for this arm but if I need another I won't be shy.

Snow amounts on Monday were about 4". Was warm today with some wind. Helped to melt some snow. Tomorrow is supposed to be warmer too. Expect some snow in the shaded areas for sure. Obstacles will have an extra edge to them too.

If you have never done this trail before, I suggest that you have a lift of about 3" and 33" tires minimum. Lockers are not required but help. With this size of group plan on about 6 to 8 hours to complete the whole loop. It will take closer to the 8 hours if Ed gets to talking. If you have any questions on this trail. Look at it on trail damage.

I do not suggest any one do this on a stock platform. I don't want to feel bad if you suffer some damage because you felt you had to do this trail.

This is GOING to be a fun ride. It is a holiday too. You know Ground Hog's Day/ BV Jeeps B-day

Bring you camera and take lots of pics and videos for me.

3inch lift on what platform? Hmmm how about 1.5 inch "lift" on a JK with 33ish tires and lockers? Ha

I don't mind bowing out as I don't want to be the guy that get hung up and ruins the day. Plus I've got a nice RK lift in the mail, be a shame to do major damage before I get to install that.

Biggest thing is the clearance. With the 33" tires you will be able to make it ok. Just will have to watch your lines. My bad too. 3" on TJ and 2" on JK.

I don't think the snow will be a problem per se, but it is going to make the obstacles really, really interesting

The way I'm setting up the front axle mounts they will be fully boxed. If the skids were permanently attached the only way I could pull the links would be to drop the axle

Well the sun came out again today with temps in the 40's. Looks like some snow melted too. Still have the shadows and the fun stuff to deal with but it will be a blast!!!

Spent the last hour setting the Staun deflators. Sucks being a perfectionist.
How far is the trailhead from the truckstop?

I'm still in. Small lift, tires and snow be dammed! Unless I get stuck in Denver, 70 is jacked up right now but should be cleared up soon.

They wont have them production ready for a few months at the earliest. I've talked too Jeff about them a few times since I'm waiting on one.

I really really wish I could make it! Sadly I have company in town. At least the snow is good so skiing yet another day this week will be a welcomed alternative
