A small group of us decided on a last minute run to Chinaman tomorrow.
Several from Denver area are meeting at the Morrison Conoco @ 6:45 sharp!
Springs group meeting at 7:30 at RUDY's on 31st.
Had a blast. There was a little snow on the ground, but just enough to make it interesting. No carnage, with the exception of one rig running 40's each rig made one winch pull, no more no less.
The Collegiate Peaks held off what looked like a nasty bank of fog and clouds the entire day.
Well after watching these videos and not being able to go with you guys, I have only a few comments. On the whale's tail I say JK = easy way.
On the rock pile after the wheel stand next time go driver. Keep your tire on the rock and curl around it. It seems tippy but you actually keep your rockers and doors away from the rock.
Alot of rigs have been built and improved because of this trail. I know mine is built because of this trail. Years ago you could run it stock on 31's. Now it is alot harder. You can still run it without lockers but a lift and bigger tires is a must.
Chinaman is a good trail to base a build off of. It gives you a little bit of everything.
