New Meeting Place

I just verified that we can access FS376 via the Teller county side of Cold Camp Rd. (GCR is closed at the El Paso county line all the way to the paved part of Old Stage Rd behind the Braodmoor hotel).

The new meeting place will be:

Rudy's Country Store & Bar-B-Q
315 South 31st Street
Colorado Springs, CO 80904

Coming from Denver you will need to take the exit for Hwy 24 west.

There is gas and snacks here, so it is actually a great meeting point. The meeting time will not change. The actual distance is about 30 miles further, but the time to get to the trail head is slightly faster. This way is just more highway driving... Hwy 67 across to Cripple Creek is a nice drive though.

I plan to air down at the turn off to Gold Camp Road. With so much of the surrounding area closed, this may be one of the rare times we can have this area to our selves.

From a Disabled VET to an active military guy.. I'll buy you a tank of gas so you can get one last trail ride in with the family group(As long as I am going)! Just my way to say thanks for serving and giving us the option to get out in the outdoors in this great land.

News 13 had a report today on Old Stage Rd and the damage done to it. It Really took an ass-whooping! Check their app or website...
I'd also contact Teller CTY sheriff regarding their end of the road and it's condition...

Really sorry to hear that man! It's are "bone jarring" tail according to the Well's book. Not sure how good it would feel to his arm.
