Hey everyone! Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong section, but I am relatively new to the Colorado area and was hoping to meet some new wheeling friends. There are soooo many trails to go on out here in Northern Colorado, and even ones I don't know, so I was hoping to meet others who share the same interest and would like to go wheeling sometime in the summer. I believe most trails are closed in winter though. I created a Facebook Group page in hopes of meeting some locals. Please join and maybe we can all schedule group trail rides, cookouts and whatnot. Thanks and I hope to hear from you!

Nice to meet you guys im topher, the young one who gets all the crap

Honestly just look on here every few days we always have trail ride going on. There a pretty big group of us, we do both wild and nice trails just depends on the weekend.
As for clubs I have heard a lot of Colorado springs Christian 4 wheelers (I think that's the name) but other than that I don't know of any other clubs really

Welcome both TechLife and Bholman :D. Yea, Topher gets all the guy crap, and I get all the female crap lol. We both can't escape it. Techlife, I'm fairly close to Aurora, ok, just down the street almost. When I get my license back I'd love to meet up with ya :).

Yeah whatever you say topher. Lol. I'm not a fan of paying dues to be a part of a group. And the one club I almost joined were very non welcoming of new people.
That's how I feel, I though about the whole Christian four wheelers club for a while.. But I'm not committed to monthly meetings and people telling me what I can and can't do. Also I'm not a religious person so I would struggle with the whole praying thing every time.

If your religious don't take that the wrong way I don't mean any harm, your beliefs an morals are your business, the religious thing is just not me.

The good thing about being a part of an organized club is that they,at least most, help to defend the trail use. if it were not for the efforts of some of these clubs we would only have limited access to the trails we love to wheel. it is worth it to join a club that is active in this role even if you don't participate in the events that they hold. I respect what the majority of the 4x4 clubs do for us.

I've been a part of several enthusiast auto groups/forums for various Mercedes, bmws, and my range rover..... Without a doubt, the jeep community is truly different. I can't believe the quality of people and friendships I've made already.

The group on the Colorado forum (here) is amazing.

So for the best group post I forgot to quote: x3

Thanks for adding me to the Facebook Group.

As far as actual clubs go, I was a member of a local Jeep club back in Iowa for about 6 years. Our dues were inexpensive; $35/year, and mostly paid for our group offroading insurance/liability. The camraderie is great, and we had a good time.

That said, there was DRAMA. So much so that the club split into two groups due to personality clashes and childish drama.

I'm all about wheeling and camraderie. If I can get that in an official 'club' great. If I can get it through this Forum or a Facebook group, great.

I just want to wheel :thumb:

I've been wanting to start a club myself...... Somehow out of all the friends i grew up with I'm the only one that loves to work on my 4x4 and run trails.... Had the idea to start one after reading Imped's build threads. His group of buddies wheel all the time and help each other out on builds. Damn am i envious of IndyOhv! Cool people, great builds and fun times.
