The sad thing is they are prolly all people close to my age. Which makes it even worse cuz now I will get looked down on. It's pathetic. It's amazing how many people are a simple waste of air.

Howdy, all.
First, I wanna say how deeply sorrowful I am about these fires.
Yeah, theres the impact on the people....that sux.
There's the effect on the environment (Trees, rivers, sky etc)...that sux.
And there is the effect on the wildlife....critters cant out-run wildfire....that is indescribable.

Last year we burned here in Central Texas. In surveying the damages, afterwards, we encountered dozens of locations where cattle, horses, deer, hogs....crammed into corners trying to escape the fire and died en mass. They seek the protection of the herd...then they try to hide...

Ive worked a lot of unpleasant scenes, but those left the deepest scars on my soul.

Then, a year later, the hawks come back on their migratory route and find everything gone. So there is no habitat to support those who did manage to survive. and they get displaced and that forced increased competition for recources in areas that were uneffected by the fires.

I'm not exactly a tree-hugger...though I will admit to having actually hugged a tree. I dont own any tie-dye... dont have any bongo-drums....and never participated in a protest...but I value natue SO much higher than I do people.

I know folks in Colorado dont like folks from TX. Based on the way some of my fellow Texans behave themselves, I cant blame you. But I can say this. If yall can catch this $H1T-8AG I would gladly wheel my way up there to help clens that sorry m-fer from the human gene-pool...and having seen the results of being flame-broiled...I can think of a few creative techniques that would ALMOST be sufficiently appropriate.

To call this a "crime" would be a joke. The words Tragedy and attrocity have been so over-used that they have lost their weight. I just cant think of a word that can adequately address the situation.

Our thoughts are with you.

So it looks like there is another fire on the top of the mountain. Above the Waldo canyon fire. And I'll post a link in a minute about the arsonists. They started a fire up in lake gorge today luckily, they were able to put it out

Getting back to the thread, I'm in for planting day whenever you set it up.

My office window looks out on the Front Range and seeing that Waldo Canyon fire burn all day is making me heart sick. Many coworkers live up in Woodland Park and are "trapped" up there, because they don't want to risk the long drive around to get to the Springs and then get evac orders while they're down here. It really sucks.

Yea it's a real bummer what's going on I can't wait till these jack a**es get caught.

As for the plant and wheel day I would like to do it when every fire in Colorado is out. But with the rate we are at there will be 3 feet of snow on the ground before that happens.
