Considering transmission swap

Have a 2002 TJ sport with the NV3550 5 speed transmission and considering swapping to a 32rh automatic. Any ideas on what parts other than the transmission (duh) I would need. Also what is the difficulty level? I am not a mechanic by any means.

If you drive your jeep over to fn jeep, you may be work a deal with them to trade in your parts plus a bit of cash for the auto setup and parts you'll need.... They can see it works before you pull it apart. They have been really cool guys every time I have spoken with them.

Was going to check them out. Not sure if I want to swap or just sell the jeep and get an automatic one.

I would say that depends on how well you know your jeep...... If everything is exactly where you want it and in great condition, swap away.... If there are a handful of little issues, sell/buy..... The time you'll put into the swap, you'll end up investing into a new one figuring out the unknown issues and "getting to know it" but if some of the big ticket items such as regearing an axle larger than a d35, lockers, etc, are not already on your jeep, you'd probably come out ahead selling and picking one up with that stuff already done...
