Lightbulb Eagle Rock cleanup 6/22

Eagle Rock is such a beautiful trail, but we were very saddened by all of the trash, bottles, and cans that litter the trail. Since we enjoy the scenic backways so much we want to give back to the trail. Let's show our fellow offroaders what Jeepers are made of off the trail as well. The worst part is at the trail head but we saw lots of bottles and cans throughout. We can pick up as we run the trail, take pics, do cool wheel stands, eat lunch... You know what we usually do...

Meet at the trail head at 9:00 a.m. armed with trash bags.

I will call the Forest Service to find out if they have any other resources available and post what info I can gather. Worst case scenario is we haul our own trash out after the run.

Was up there a couple weeks ago with a few studs from here. Most trash I've ever seen.

I'll join in

Hey guys, the club I am part of CSC4W has adopted the entire Mt. Baldy trail system and is doing their annual trail cleanup this Saturday. Eagle rock is included in that. We are all meeting behind the broadmoor at 8:00 on sat. This is when the forest service gets involved to see how many people actually care about our trails and count the people that show up for the cleanup on their reports. The more people that show up to these scheduled maintenance runs the better it looks for the community. Can I suggest changing the cleanup day to this sat so our efforts go noticed by the people who want to close down trails?

If you can't change I understand thanks for everyone wanting to keep the trails clean.

I would join you guys next Sat, but I'm out of town... plus the wife might not let me take her Jeep on that trail yet. lol

G-Rocc, sorry, but out this Sat as well... have to watch the kiddos all day

My whole family is put off by the amount of trash up there in the hills, as long as we are free, we'll join in on any clean up runs.

Well that's awesome G......I think that since we are already tied up this weekend in BV that we will keep the date and if it's clean then Great...if not we will clean it again. Would like to help but already have the fire burning somewhere else.
Post those clean up runs as they happen and I'm sure you'll get some support from the Community here.

Welllll... Seems as though Eagle Rock will be getting a beauty treatment this Saturday so perhaps we choose another trail to give some love to...

My baldy trail needed some serious work today so we all focused our efforts there and blocked off some illegal trails with logs and then ran some new fence that was maliciously cut and picked up pounds of trash.

Eagle Rock didn't get touched by us today so I think your clean up run should still be on.
