The MV-50 is a good compressor...HOWEVER, the problem is the air is so thin here. Then Consider that the air gets even thinner with the higher we go in the mtns. That compressor has to work very very hard to pull air in to pump up your tires. At sea level that compressor will work fine...here in CO it'll take time. It'll work, it'll just take longer. I bought that compressor to start.. Even took the air filter off of it and it still took a long time. It really depends on how much TIME You want to spend airing up! .

To put things in PERFORMANCE perspective ...In the time it takes you to hook that compressor up and get started on one tire I can be working on my second tire with CO2!! And be DONE with all 4 BEFORE your done with one!

To put things in a COST perspective the MV 50 costs around $80 (AutoZone) for just another $80 you could have a CO2 system... That will air up your tires and run shop tools!! Hope this answers your questions. It really comes down to what you want your air system to be able to do AND how long it'll take.

Thanks, you made it really nice as well... kind of the sheep dog making sure all us sheep stayed together. But this time Sinister6 might have other plans for us since he is not concerned with the opinion of the sheep!

Ah. I know that Rudy's well. I used to stop and eat there on my way back from fishing trips to the Dream Stream. I'll hopefully see you all there.

Wheeler Lake is one of my favorite trails! It has a little bit of everything (a few obstacles with bypasses), smaller easy rocks, water fall and stream, great views, lake, etc). You should give it a shot sometime.

That does look like a fun trail... maybe a bit beyond my skills right now though. Perhaps next year!

Can't make it this weekend (not Sun anyway) but am pretty free after this. My Jeep is a bit more capable now with a lift and 35s. I will attempt to install a CB this weekend. That may be a frustrating and futile attempt but since nobody installs CBs, I am going to try. Not looking forward to 3-4 last-minute trips to Radio Shack either. If I succeed, I'll then move on to looking for a SWR meter and tuning. See you all soon...CB or not!

Skully, sounds fun. Are you in for Chaina Wall this Sunday? FYI, last friday on my way to Rainbow Falls I stopped at Rudy's to fill up and it was one of the cheapest gas prices in town...today at $3.65 per Gal.
