Goodyear MT-R's

I was over at our local Goodyear shop last night getting pricing on new tires and there was a 37x12.50x17 MT-R sitting there on display, so in conversation I asked why they had a 37 there all of a sudden (a few weeks ago it was a 33). They told me they had a set of 4 in shop that a customer had ordered, and before he could get them installed, he totaled his rig. So, they now have these 4 in inventory and haven't been able to sell em.....Bernie (the store manager) told me if someone wanted them, he'd make them a good deal on em. I'm not in the market for 37's, but I know quite a few of you guys run them or were moving up to them.
The shop number is 303-420-1226, and ask for Bernie. The shop is at 92nd and Wadsworth.

Gread tires and had I known I might have bought them and had them shipped to the shop. I ended up with the 35s

I currently run 33s MTR with Kevlar and love them. They do wonders for rock crawling and in the mud. They are relatively quiet on street and highway. When I upgrade to 35s I will most likely stay with the tire. I say go for them.

About a week too late man. I appreciate the tip though. If I didn't get a sweet deal on my km2s I would be all over these. I like km2s just dislike that they are more like 36.7 inches.

Yeah, that three tenths of inch is so glaringly obvious Bryan, really limits you on the rocks...

Every inch counts when you drive a bus! 37s are the new 35s

From the way Bernie made it sound, I don't think the 37's would cost me any more than the 35's

Ok, I have two really good, one brand new and two kinda chewed up but lots of tread. I'll throw in one more new one and you'll have two spares. Is that a deal or what?

On a JK maybe. To do 37's I'd have to break out the Sawsall because I will not go more than four inches on spring lift. I'm stretching the front axle three inches so that's not a problem but there is simply not enough room in back without a hack and slash.

Actually I'm probably going to have to some trimming in the rear just for the 35's. I think I can get a couple inches of stretch in the back and my tires are already rubbing.

Tell him to list them on Pirate, you see 2-3 sets of MTRs sell there almost everyday. I'm sure he could get rid of them there. More guys into that tire range too.

If I go 37's then my cj becomes a trailer queen, the engine and axles wouldn't keep up with the cool awesome bigness! However 37's is as big as I ever want to go.
