Help? Aev install 17 aug CSprings

Hey

I am looking to install aev snorkel on 12 jk.
Really nervous about cutting into the hood.
What would u use to cut the hood? Saws all? Table saw?

I am decently capable. Installed cb radio. Lift bumper winch. This may be out of my skill set. And I lack the tools

Thanks for input!

I'd use a 4 1/2 inch grinder/cutting wheel

DREMEL would probably give you the most control & precise cuts.

I ended up using a grinder! It worked well. The aev template was 1.5 off. It really was a pain in the ass. Not happy with aev install instructions

Does the AEV have a low point for a drain?

The ram air scoop at top has a design/function at the top where is drains water from rain at high way speeds. But the snorkel itself does not have another drain function. There are 3 drain holes in the lower stock air box. ( I hope that answered your question)
