Hello all,

Brand new to this site, looking for some help finding a quality and affordable shop to install my lift kit... Or any cool, very Jeep knowledgeable people on here with the room, time and tools to help and teach me how to do the work.

Decided on the DPG Off-road kit. Here is a list of the parts:

4-OME Shocks
4-OME Coil Springs
OME Rear Bump stop Spacers
Rear Track bar Extension Bracket
JKS Sway bar “Quicker” disconnects
JKS 1.25″ Body Lift
JKS Motor Mount Spacers
OME Steering Stabilizer

Any idea of install costs, time, etc?

Thanks for any help, guys!

Jeff

first off you don't need a shop to do this. You just need to learn what you need to do.

gonna need front and rear bumpstop extensions too. the OME's are 0.8", and you'll need about 1.25-1.5" for their shocks. what they include isn't long enough. Get some 2" OD and 3" OD 3" long body lift spacers so you can make your own bumpstop extensions.

cam bolts will be useful in correcting caster if you don't plan on using adjustable control arms. an adjustable front track bar (JKS #126 or Metalcloak) will center the front axle, but you have to be careful about clearance problems.

I run OME stuff: Unlimited04's LJ Build

I'm local and happy to help, just don't have a ton of space. you'll be doing most of the work (and learning).

As I am on my phone I may have missed your info but Jeep info is very helpful. Depending on year, model, and your REAL expectations when you're done will help. As many of us on here will say. Build it right the first time so you don't spend time and money you don't need to. Adjustable links make a huge difference in adjustability and durability.

Same here. Willing to help out and provide space (and tools) if needed. I've lifted 4 LJs, an XJ and more recently a JKU in my garage. Let me know when and where you guys want to do it and we can finally have a lift party around here.

But... Please fill out your profile info so we can see who we're offering to help and what you're driving.

Do it yourself, with the help of those who've offered. You'll learn so much more about your Jeep. Depending on your location, I would be willing to help as well.

A few days before the lift goes on, spray PB Blaster liberally on all bolts, particularly the shock bolts. Spray once a day for several days. This will greatly ease the process.

Thanks. I'm a life long Jeep guy who has totally corrupted my daughters. Oldest is turing 15, just past the written driving test. Her Mom found a 2010 wrangler for her on the super cheap. Noe looking at getting a body lift. I'm back east other wise I'd be there to either do it myself or hook her up. Could use some jeep brothers for some suggestions. Ah, money tree died so definitely on a budget.

Best bet....have mom pay for it.

Good Luck, L.M.
