High alititude and Check Engine light came on

Drove up guanella pass yesterday after stopping at clear lake for some fishing (incredible views!!) but just after the summit (11,600 ft) the engine light came on. I figured it was the altitude messing with the O2 sensor but wanted to see if you guys have noticed this before...

Thanks for the input!

This post was sent by my computer, as my ESP is broken...

Rapid decent or accent will mess with sensors. Best have the code looked at.

My '97 F-150 use to do it going over Raton Pass. Once I'd get back down to altitude it would go out. I'm pretty sure it's from the computer having to recalculate the air/fuel mixture pretty quickly.

When I go over 6,000 ft. my check engine light comes on. I live at 330 ft. The day after each trip, the light goes out. It has happened each time.
