Man I want that trail bad.....dad and I tried it with a slightly modded YJ about 10 years ago and made it to the river and it got dark. One of these days I will be back to chalk it up on the list

Uh, yeah, axles would help, and how many links do you have in the rear now, 3,4,5?

I simply don't have enough time or money to get my rig set up for that this summer. Maybe next year.

ID:	110551Shoot Im in for a Holy Cross again. Did it on 33's and no lockers so 35's and the rear locked along with a winch will help too. Here are a couple of pics from the last time. First 2 are of French Creek and the last 2 are Cleveland Rock. The Jeep is a CJ7 with D60 front GM 14 bolt rear and lockers powered by a 350 Chevy.

I'm in!! I ran holy cross in September and had to turn around at the river cuz it was pitch black out and raining.

As far as camping out, if I recall correctly there is no camping along the actual trail but Homestake is the camping area around the trail head. There are TONS of FREE camping spots along the forest service road, my family camps there at least once a year. The creek is good for fishing and there's lots of ponds to hike to and just a whole lot of fun!!!

Thanks again for the awesome time on Sunday Doug! You made the trip a blast and even though I had just met you minutes prior we all trusted your guidance and you got us through.

Yea this pic was too sweet to not be profile status haha: that feeling when you realize you've reached a whole new level of puckered! Haha
