I'm a total noob but this run sounds great. I'm guessing I can handle trails 1&2 in my stock JKU Sahara. Hope you guy don't mind if I join in. If it works, 2 large shirts and 1 sticker.

Love it!!! Just what we need for the run.

Hellcat03, we need to get together to figure out just exactly how we are going to do this and we still need 2 guides for trails 1 and 2.

I'll sit down this weekend and write down who is going on what trail.. I think about all is doing trail 2 which should be the 2nd run so everyone is together at the end.. We all meet up to start trail 2 and everyone gets a card.. Then everyone gets a card at the end at the restaurant.. We sit down and with the same cards play a couple hands of Texas hold em.. Winner of both hands wins.. I don't know what lol.. Or we all just do one trail on Saturday?

What I may do is set up an online account with the tshirt and sticker companies and send everyone the link to order there stuff.. But I have to see about shipping.. If it's cheaper to do one large order then I gotta go around and collect money before I order.. Will keep ya posted.

Have we nailed down what trails each level consists of? And do you have the links to the trails on Trail Damage?
Thanks!

The # 3 run could be an all day trip. Depending on how many run it it can take from 5 to 8 hours. Runs 1 and 2 are about 25 miles apart. They can be stretched into day trips alone. #1 can be done rather quickly, but it is a beautiful area so there will be some picture taking. The Ptarmigan lake trail and Hope gulch trails are great trails that are easy enough for any one. This can be a 4 to 6 hour trail when done slowly. #2 is about 20 miles from BV just to get to St Elmo. To get to Pomory lake and Hancock lake will take a little bit too. There is the Mary Murphy mine that everyone will want to explore. Also on the way to Hancock lake there are some areas to explore. This is also a nice trail that can take upwards of 5 to 7 hours depending on the pace. I originally set these up as day trips with plenty of exploring time included. I figured that we could all meet in Johnson Village at the truck stop starting at 9AM. We would all try to depart by 10AM. My suggestion is that we try to do a trail a day.

I also need to know if anyone is interested in staying overnight at a motel. If I can get a count of the possible overnighters, I will see what kind of rates we can get as a group? Maybe I will start a tab for the people staying so we can maybe get some numbers.

If anyone else has any other suggestions, please let me know.

So maybe just one run? Tomorrow I'll figure out the numbers running what trails.. The way the runs seem to be going I really would hate to see someone racing through trail 3 and then getting towed home.. Not really a race setup style of event.
