Last Minute Moab

Looking to take a few days off next week and get out of town. Planning to head out to the desert on Tuesday afternoon, may stop in Fruita for the night and a quick bike ride and then head to Moab Wednesday morning. Unfortunately my schedule doesn't match up with the crew I usually go with so I'm just playing it by ear next week and packing the jeep with bike and ski gear and bouncing around.

If anyone is going to be out there next week or feels like making a last minute run to the desert hit me up. Tentative plan would be to be in Moab Wednesday-Friday/Saturday and then meet some friends outside of Aspen on the way back.

If this was a little later on the year (after I retire) I'd go with. Have fun and be safe.

We are heading to Moab next week, be there from Fri 4/19 - Tues 4/23. We are planning on Kane Creek, Golden Spike, and Hells Revenge. You are welcome to join us on the trails.

Wow that is tempting, I have those trails marked to do on my fall trip. Wish I was only a day away but unfortunately 1400 miles east.:-(

The Moab trip was a no go. It basically puked snow here for the better part of 10 days. When faced with the choice of spending rainy cool nights alone in the desert or skiing my face off at home I opted for skiing. I had a torn MCL most of the season and managed to recover just in time for the good snow. (Insert thumbs up guy here, don't know how to do that on a phone).
