Talked to Teller CTY DOT on Thursday. She stated that Old Stage Rd IS open on the Teller CTY side. She stated you CAN DRIVE AROUND road closed signs- they are there so people do Not think the road is open straight through.
She said that ANY trail that is accessible from the Teller CTY side is open.

Yeah, we made it in... Did both trails...SR wasn't too bad, the last part after the V notch was washed out. Coming into the meadow between Old Stage Rd and the start of ER...I've got BAD news! The genius that is the county came in and Bulldozed the entrance to ER from the road to the meadow. Dammed up the water and put in a culvert so no more water crossing, then the next 100-150M completely bulldozed it into a road! And honestly there is no real reason for what they did...drainage wasn't an issue there, what a shame!
ER saw a huge face lift, a lot of wash out, realistically you need at least one locker or a winch. The washouts give the trail a lot more obstacles or character in the middle and towards the end. How long they last will be anyones guess. The creek crossing was frozen over and there were areas with 4-6" of snow!

We headed out towards Bull Park, they bulldozed 75% of that trail too, they really shaved that hill after the meadow down and then for some reason left the last couple hundred yards untouched.

Old Stage from Teller Cty side was in really good shape. We didn't air down until we got to SR trailhead...it was that smooth. Those of you that have run OSR from El Paso cty side know you almost HAVE TO air down or risk losing teeth.

Ben and Todd have pics, hopefully they'll post them up. Great meeting you guys and running the trails! Over all it was a great day in the mountains! I have some pics of entrance to ER, I'll post.

All kidding aside, thank you for the update.
I'm sad to hear of the "upgrades" they did to the trail. It is one of my favorites...
