Locker ?

I have a YJ with 4.88 gears in a Dana 44 in my front axle with no locker. I do have an arb compressor. My rear axle has an arb air locker. I think I need a locker more in the front of my jeep. I absolutely could be wrong. I am on a tight budget as most of us are. Which direction should I go for a front locker. Should I steal the one from the rear if it is even compatible. The rear axle is a 9 in. What is all of your thoughts. I don't drive it daily but I do like to drive it to work sometimes. Therefore saying that would spoils be a better route or not so much?

I went with a LSD in front (limited slip diff) it's cheaper and has gotten me through almost every where iv needed to go. The only think I don't like is driving in 4 high if it icy, if a tire starts to spin it will lock and sometimes make you jerk. Kinda sketchy when your going about 40

You will want to keep your rear axle locked. You may not think you use it that much but when you are climbing up something all the weight goes on the rear. If you only have the front it will be more likely to spin. As for lockers. I have an Aussie in the rear of mine and it is great. Lockers like the lunch box style can lock too much in the front and make it harder to turn. LSD. Might Ba a better bet.
