Okie here. I just bought my Jeep over the weekend (13 Wrangler Sport, pretty stock). It's got the 16" wheels and the stock rubber, but I am headed up to CO for a long weekend over labor day. Prior to purchasing the Jeep we had a hotel in Buena Vista, but now we are considering roughing it and saving some money to spend some more time driving on trails.
Can anyone recommend a nice trail that would be suitable for a totally stock Jeep with the factory rubber? I won't have time to do anything to it before headed up. I'm fairly familiar with the area around BV, and managed to drag a 2WD Stock XTerra up to Mary Murphy Mine, but I remember white knuckling it for a little bit of that, so I'm not sure of the suitability for that.
I've thought about Tincup Pass from St. Elmo to Tincup, but I'm not sure if a stocker would do it, I hear it has gotten rough recently.
Can anyone make a suggestion that would be good for a stocker? A big plus if it ends us at a nice, quiet, friendly campsite that we can set up at for the night.
Thanks from a new guy!
