Louisiana boy coming to Colorado

I will be pulling my Jeep up to Colorado next month. We will be in the Silverthorne/Summit CO area. I am looking for suggestions on trails in that area. I'm not experienced with mountain trails so I'm thinking of something moderate with nice views. I've looked on trail damage and found some possible trails I could do, but I just want to see what the locals suggest.

well first of all it's nice to see a fellow Louisiana boy posting on here.
Siverthorne has some great scenic stuff all over it that wont get you into to much trouble.
Saints John....Swan River....are a couple for sure that you will love. they are fairly close.
Which trails were you thinking about? how's your rig built ? when are you coming exactly and we may be able to put a run together and show you around a bit.

3rd week in Sept is archery season for Big game so that will make it tough for m unless I get one early. We will talk as it gets closer...

And then Brian and Corrie........

I don't wear purple and gold. I'm from Lafayette, LA (south central). I have joke about the terrain here, "We have hills where I'm from, we call them overpasses". Looking forward to meeting y'all, hope it comes together.

Will do . I'll will be on the trails on week days is that a problem? I plan on making multible trails through out the week. My son lives in Silverthorne and he and I will do some trails if no one else can. He's been on a couple of trails and I would like to do some he hasn't. Still taking suggestions on the best trails to take in that area.

I will be in Colorado on Monday the 23rd to Friday the 27th. I am hoping to make a run just about every day that week. I am looking to take the more scenic trails with the Aspens changing colors that are not too difficult. Looking at Traildamage i've picked out a few possible trails around Keystone and Breckenridge area. St. John, Deer Creek, Warden Gulch, Geogia Pass, Peak 10. I'm still open for suggestions. If you would like to ride on any of these days let me know.

How about a nice cruise we have had over a FOOT of rain in the last WEEK!
Everything is WET! Flooding is severe. My guess is most trails have some major wash out etc.
