Metal Brake

Anyone around the springs that has a metal brake to bend sheet metal? I don't need a big one, just something to make an antenna mount with...

if it is just sheet metal.... throw it in a vise and roll it over with a couple pair of vice grips or channel locks....... you will get a nice crisp edge and no marks if you use popsicle sticks or wood shims to cushion.......

I tried that, but its thicker than that. I'll probably find a shop with a brake press and throw them 10$ or so to bend it up for me - its only a 7 inch piece with 3 bends in it.

Its a mount for a ham radio antenna

Take it over to Glaser Metal on 31st south of 24. They are quite reasonable about doing bends.

I could bend it for you, but I'm in north Denver.

Ed's suggestion is closer, but thanks Terry. Thanks for the info all, I'll have my HAM hooked up this weekend, and hopefully get my test out of the way the first weekend in April. I was going to take it last weekend, but with the snow, they called it off.

I have to finish up the bumpstops in the rear and figure out how I'm going to mount my jerry cans to the Jeep, and I'm ready for summer and Moab!
