We were fortunate enough to go to Moab last T-Giving and spent the 4 days enjoying the area. Rooms were off season rates and the trails were a blast since they were vitually empty. We are palnning on going again this year and were wondering if there was any interest in going with us.
We would probably leave either early Thursday or Friday after work. It's right around 5.5 -6 hrs from Denver

I'm supposed to visit family over the holiday but this sounds way more interesting. Did you encounter any snow last year? What trails do you typically run? What are the hotel rates, roughly?
Last year we did Fins/Gemeni bridges/Poision Spider. And went through Arches NP. This year I guess it's a decision still. Would like to do golden spike but am open on trails since I haven't run many out there. I guess it'll depend on the groups rigs and capabilities also.
Rooms are 50-60 a night for middle of the road rooms.
Weather was a little cool and cloudy. A little rain last year too but no snow.

Oh gotcha. Those look like TJ ones? I had the quick discos but tacoed them on wheeler when I forgot to pull them and just used the rubi disconnect. It was the first run with them and RK wouldn't warrantee it so I just slapped my rear links on and left it.

Sorry for the thread hijack chad...

Well I have tried to figure it out every way I can possibly think of, and can't come up with a way to swing the budget to get this trip in and still eat.
I lost 1st gear on the tow rig so it's gotta be fixed, and then I have to get the gears done on the front axle of the Jeep.
So as painful as it is to say - I'm out. I absolutely loved this trip last year and looked at it every which way you can, but just can't get it to work.
Totally bummed!!!!!!!
:-(

I will, It's just a little more money than I was expecting to spend. I'd be okay if it was just 1 or the other but with both vehicles it buried me and I really don't want to drive the Jeep all the way out there without my trailer. especially the way this year has been on my rig. Seems like I have had a few big things break this year. I'm probably just going down for the rest of the year and start getting it all ready for next year. Oh well......gotta pay to play sometimes.

Chad, I've been kinda lurking on your thread wishing Bobbi and I could make it up to Moab to join you guys but we had already made plans over the Thanksgiving holiday. But if you do plan something early next year we might make the drive up!

Sorry to here about you string of breakage. Just build it up better!!

Looking forward to some more wheeling with you guys. We still are planning the Ouray trip! We just need the dates and we are there!

Take care,

Craig

We were also on this trip last year and are going again this year. Our plan is to head to Moab Friday morning and drive back Monday. We'll hit Arches either Friday or Monday and trails on Friday and Saturday....we're staying at the Motel 6....rates are $45 a night and they allow pets for free.
As far as trails, was thinking about Fins n Things/Hell's Revenge on one of the days....
