We are going topless (hope I don't regret it); we will arrive Thursday (5/23) and leave Monday (5/30) after I take my son zip-lining. It is going to be a father a son trip this time out.

Headed for Moab early Saturday AM, returning sometime on Tuesday. I've got my bikini top on and hoping to leave the soft top at home. My soft upper doors fit fine with my bikini top, so I think I'll be good. I, too, hope I don't regret it. Wife was telling me a few days ago that Eisenhower Tunnel was getting snow, will be curious what the trek through CO will be like this weekend...

Ran Fins & Things today. Then I attempted Potato Salad and just could not get over the top ridge. I'm glad I tried, though.

Hells Revenge

B4real and myself ran Hell's revenge with a friend, Jerry, and some serious Jeeps from FWCA (I think that was the name of the club). This is now a top 5 trail of mine. Lots of pucker factor, not a lot of bouncing around and amazing obstacles.

Here are some pics. I have some good video of Hell's Gate and the Escalator too. I'll gift to get more pics from my buddy Jose, I know he took a ton.

Very Nice! I gotta plan a trip out there! So how did the 2dr fair to the 4dr with some of the obstacles?

Depends on which 2-door you are talking about...just kidding. Everything did everything really well except for the escalator. Jerry, in the silver TJ on 35's couldn't get up the first ledge and I think that was all based on wheel base. I am trying to figure out a way to upload videos other than youtube and drop box. I'll try to get to it tonight so you can see what I'm talking about.

We were discussing benefits of wheel base this weekend on Eagle Rock... we came to the conclusion each has its pro and cons. Would love to see some vids!

Just got back from Moab last night. At least within our group and the trails we did, the JKUs had the advantage over we TJs; their longer wheelbase really helped. In the 4 days I was there we did Fins & Things, Potato Salad Hill, Hell's Revenge, Cliff Hanger, Poison Spider, Golden Spike, Gold Bar Rim, and Steel Bender. Cliff Hanger was my favorite.

This was my first trip to Moab. I learned the trick is to NOT watch videos beforehand, especially of carnage: After getting my front tire in the air too many times 3/4 of the way up Hell's Gate, I got freaked and had to run my winch line. I decided not to attempt Escalator. Maybe next trip.

Here are the pics I took, as well as 3 vids of me doing obstacles; nothing too fancy:

Tough to say...I've made it up escalator in one shot without lockers while some TJ guys struggled.

That being said...who doesn't want more wheelbase except a 4 door.

Sick pictures G. Hopefully we can meet up in Penrose this weekend. haven't heard from Caleb.

I think he had a few things going against him on that climb wheel base being one and he was getting really light in the front. Another TJ with an antirock up front made it up before I could get the camera on him and u think that made the difference for him.

I hope we can make it out too. I'm 90% for an afternoon run but no chance if we run in the morning.
