I see that Red Cone is open and that Webster Pass is open on the Montezuma side. Does anyone know the status of Deer Creek or Saints John? Bush Ducks has nothing.

Well, I went up yesterday and here's the scoop.

Headed up Deer Creek from Montezuma and hit a nasty mudhole just a bit after timberline. Looked very easy to get high centered in and there are no winch points. Some A**holes have been going around it. Are really tearing it up. This will give the Forest Service a nice excuse to close this trail. :(

Went back to Montezuma and headed up Saints John. Clear all the way to the top but still some snow blocking the trail after the turnoff to Deer Creek and Radical Hill. Would be easy to get around but again, have to go off trail to do it. We were ready to head back so we didn't try busting thru the snow on the trail. Another week and that will be gone. Again in this area you can see where A**holes have been going off trail to get around this.

Ran Saints John all the way through today, clear all the way through, took it from Montezuma. Didn't go the Deer Creek route, but was at the top of Deer Creek and that mud wasn't friendly at all. Exited through Middle Swan Creek, clear all the way through.

Mostly ran into hikers and ATV type traffic until we reached Tiger rd.

Matt's report is dead on.
