sounds good to me i went wheeling yesterday and the way i went was rather snow packed im not sure if i was going the right way though.
we would have to make the trip in about 2.5 to 3 weeks though. since im just a kid with cancer i have chemo stating tuesday so it will take a few weeks for my blood counts to be good enough to make the trip. do you mind if i add you? or send you an email with my email to keep in touch so we can do this trip?

OK the short version.. I don't live in colorado but I know of where your trying to get to because along with research I have also talked to a few people in the past who have made that trip to FSR 379.. I can say that there is two ways to get to FSR 379.. One coming from Cripple Creek.. The Other being working all the side roads starting in CO Springs.. I can get you there from both ways.. Perhaps if you like make one big trip out of it and start from cripple creek go to FSR 379 then on your way back hit up the side roads to get back to CO Springs.. As to you being 17 and the cancer.. That really really sucks dude and I am very sorry to hear about it..

Oh let me also add that I'm sure there are some people on WF that have run that road and hopefully see this post in the morning.. For me it is 330am right now.. I'm going to bed. Sometime latter today if someone hasn't already done so I will type up the directions if I can.. Lots of long and twisted roads that connect CO Springs to Cripple Creek unless you take the highways to get from one point to the other

Just to make sure our signals are not crossed.. You do know where FSR 379 is or you don't know where it is? You are trying to find FSR 379 Right?

Just keep going strait.. Turn offs lead to dead ends for the most part.. Keep going strait up the mtn till the road ends or the snow stops you.. Not sure how many miles 379 goes up for from where it starts.. Perhaps Jeep Wrangler Forum - View Profile: Geoff@Bestop will know some more of the specifics of the road then me..

From Denver, take I-25 south through Colorado Springs to take the Circle Drive exit at the south end of town (exit 138). Circle Drive becomes Lake Avenue as you follow it west. The road ends at the Broadmoor Hotel and a traffic circle. Follow the circle around to take a left turn and follow the road around to the left (south) side of the hotel. The road will then turn into Old Stage Road as you head west into the mountains. Continue on Old Stage Road until it turns into Gold Camp Road. Mount Baldy is a right turn about 5 1/2 miles down Gold Camp Road.
