My newest buy.

Just got this for 135 dollars shipped from amazon. 1/2 inch by 92 foot. Its not a name brand but couldn't pass it up for the price.

Good deal.

That's what I'm missing out on the trail; an extra 100ft of cable or rope.

Its not an extension though its an actual winch line.

Yeah, I understand.
But if the steel cable on the spool is still good, I would just carry that one with all the other misc. stuff

Nice justin! I'm wanting to get some synth winch rope sometime too. How did you decide on the size (1/2" diameter) and the length? Did you just wing it, or did you have to research the specs of your winch before buying?

I been researching for quite some time. Some say it'll be fine others say it wont be. I figured the price was right.

Let me know how it is too..... I cut into my current Viking rope my last time at Penrose.... Fortunately it's only about 10 feet in so I can re thread it through the safety thimble, but it has seen some use and should probably be replace soon...... The rope you found sure is more appealing than a 400.00 Viking!
