So I bought some used, but practically new, 3.5 RK coils from Dan. Thanks by the way bud!
Last night Bryan and I decided to go ahead and tackle this task which we thought we would spend about 3 hours on......
Well we got it done, but had to use a lot of redneck ingenuity along the way and find new uses for tools and a bent tie rod along the way, as the coil compressor O'rielly's gave me didn't work for our application. I also learned you can get quite a bit of flex out of the rear when disconnected. It was a really long night, but it was a lot of fun. As for if I got more lift, I dunno, we didn't measure. It looks taller and well balanced. Rides a bit better. Think I have Adjustable Control Arms in my future for sure though. Things I learned last night. 1. you can always find a tool to do a job it was never intended for. 2. A stock tie rod makes a great pry bar. 3. Secure your calipers if you take them off as you will have to replace a wire or sensor if you don't, later today should be fun.... 4. Always appreciate your Jeep friends and bring beer, it helps tension and increase the laughter along the way.
Finally, Bryan thank you so much for hosting, helping, and making sure we got it done.
I'm exhausted today, but glad to have one of my key issues solved.
